Ravens-Browns are Saturday late afternoon. Sounds like they did this for Hard Knocks. I don't have a problem with it, I'm happy the Steelers are going to play on Saturday.

Why doesn't the NFL do what nearly every sporting competition in the rest of the world does? For the last game, all teams whose playoff prospects can be affected by a particular result play at the same time.

The NFL actually did the Steelers a solid there.
Figured they would get flexed to the early Saturday spot thereby giving the Rats a bye week if they lose.
Making the Rats play first forces them to try to win on the off chance the Steelers might beat the Bengals.
If the Rats win then the Steelers know they’re WC bound for sure.
Figured the Steelers would get the worst positioning on the Saturday flex.
Figured they would get flexed to the early Saturday spot thereby giving the Rats a bye week if they lose.

Two things: the Ravens Browns game could be the last time Garrett is in uniform for the Brownies... if the Ratbirds get any kind of decent lead they should mothball Lamar in case Garrett wants to make a statement for leverage in the offseason in case he demands a trade...
The Steelers wont do this cause of Tomlin's philosophies, but if tge Ravens win they should not play pickens, Wilson, TJ, Heyward, and anyone beat up...

I hear you, but if the injured players are 90%+ I play them. If the Ravens and Steelres win, the Steelers go to Houston. I like their chances in that game. And then IMO the next game at KC will be for all the marbles. If the Steelers beat KC, I like their chances against either Buffalo or Ravens. Granted beating KC on the road will be a tall order, but the Steelers will have zero pressure since everyone will pick KC.
Well we shall see how they play before labeling it a happy event.

They'll have to use a different defensive scheme than what they've been using. That soft zone will get picked apart easily.
The one element that's almost completely gone from that ****** zone they don't play well,is the blitzing.
I'd rather they go down being aggressive than playing it safe getting sliced up.
And for crying out loud attack the ball carrier,don't wait until he gets 3-5 more yards,then try some half *** grab at the shoulder pads.
But first things first,winning the first game.
They have to want it.

I think I'm going to my sports bar, eat supper and watch the game. I hate this idea as I'm pretty conservative and don't really like bars and the drunk fly-bye fans.
