one of my favorite parts of the SB highlight video was the shot they showed of Bus talking to Willie before the second half started

Another hit out of the park by Bill, thank you for a VERY well written and easy to read factual article.

The thing about Jerome is he was so selfless and leader. Roethlisberger said his first inter-action with Jerome was Jerome wrote his phone number down and told BEN to call him anytime . day or night, if he needed anything. Teaching Fast Willie would be right in the normal.

Jerome was a product of a fantastic family support system......that included both his father and mother.

Hard working, patriotic, and faithful....The Bettis's represented what is great about America.

This is what made and still makes Jerome a special Steeler on and off the field..

ALSO take note thst Jerome was an expert at his trade but really an expert at not fumbling the ball. He was well versed and was very willing to pass that trait along. Willie had a little fumble-itis to start and Jerome showed him things to lower that trait. He also put on a KID's clinic about it as well (i don't know if it was just one or several and some youth coaches commented on best ever). Some teammates commented on his willingness to help and teach.

Pure class act and fully a leader amongst all involved.

PS

Jerome didn't have to resort to deflated balls either.!!!

For me, time has sort of reduced Willie Parker down to the 75-yard TD run. It was nice to be reminded of how much he actually contributed and that he was on a nice trajectory before breaking his leg. Good article. Thanks.

Parker was so much fun to watch, all heart and speed, guy was leading the league in rushing over a prime Ladanian Tomlinson. Never got the respect he deserved.
