It's a mandatory buy back, and it's not working, so they spend more money to find out why.
Stupid government
Stupid government
I am pretty sure the basic idea was to defend against your own government.Americans have no idea how lucky -- nay, blessed -- we are to have a robust Second Amendment.
No, we know. That’s why conservatives are fighting to protect it. Liberal Americans, on the other hand, are too stupid to understand the importance of being able to defend yourself and your nation, even if it’s defending yourself from your own government.

He is a very interesting guy. My son turned me onto his stuff, having gone to GMU for his JD. We visited his monument in DC. It's a little on the outside of the monument area. That is part of it, but at the time a lot of people feared a standing Army for that very reason. Most of the founding Fathers preferred ordinary citizens to be the protection of the states.
one of the founding fathers that does not get enough credit in my opinion is George Mason. read up on him if you have not.
one of his quotes that i have on my desk- " To disarm the People is the most effectual way to enslave them" true in 1788 and still true n 2025.

The issue with him these days is that he had an enormous amount of slaves. Can't remember the number, but it was a lot. I'm surprised that his monument was not vandalized.

It was the world he lived in. Around 100 is the number thrown out there.
He spoke about the slave trade being horrible many times.kinda contradictory.
