Its an oversimplification to say that its all Tomlin and especially Haley's fault. Also, I think the opening shot he took, had a bearing on how he was able to execute the plays put in front of him. However, what I saw last week looked exactly the same as the first half of last season, and the adjusting first year of Haley. Haley has to be a set of eyes and involved in the game planning, and adviser to Ben before the play call. It has to be Ben. They can'\t do what they did last week. It looked like the play calling was scheduled. We will do this on this down. The greatness of Ben is his randomness and unpredictability. That is why I always say he gives you a punchers chance. You could get a hall of fame performance against a great defense or a **** smear vs. an average team. What you can't do is shackle him like they did last week. Will never work. And I don't mean he has to get hit running around sand lot plays. It was the opposite last year. You got to muddle huddle, lots of pistol formation. Advise him and let him call it. He has to own it himself. He had that same look last week of "why are we running this" that he has had intermittently under Haley.
