I actually could see this happening over going to clevehole.

Pittsburgh west strikes again. I wish him the best, and still feel that he would be an upgrade over our OC, DC, or HC.
Only thing is you wonder if he wants to deal with the QB situation.

we would get a third comp pick right? AZ is a lot nicer than The Mistake and that's a promotion to leave for!

Prayers are with brother Flores that this isn't just another sham interview meant to satisfy a widely misused and abused rule.

Uh-oh.
Deuce, quick, make him DC and pay him enough to stay.

The basis of his lawsuit was that he was the victim of collusion. A word formerly known as black balled. Lol. That would be a tough sell if he was hired less than a year later.
The basis of the lawsuit was that NFL teams, and the league by inclusion, engaged in a pattern of unequal hiring practices, including the processes by which candidates were assessed that unfairly kept qualified minority candidates from attaining HC positions. Since Flores filed the suit, it has been joined by other minority coaches, and, even if Flores were to drop his claims, the suit would go on.

Nope, the basis of it was a discrimination lawsuit… that teams were interviewing minorities with no intention of hiring them to give the impression they were not discriminating… it basically was attacking the Rooney rule as a discriminatory practice for PR…

In truth he is right… the Rooney rule wasn’t really supposed to be much more than a way to get practice at interviewing for minority coaches and to get their name circulating.. there were far better ways to do that then a mandated faux HC interview

Unless your Baltimore. Then you get a comp just for tipping your cap at the guy as you walk past him on the street.
Steelers give the guy who's persona non grata a job. He is there for a year and they don't even get a compensatory pick even though they must have the longest serving African American coach in the history of the league yeah these rules are awesome.

I don't care about a compensatory pick. Flores was out of a job. Probably wasn't going to be in the league, at least for a year. Tomlin threw him a lifeline. Now he's being interviewed. I hope he get the HC job.

I liked last year’s draft… we had a comp pick dropped because we TRADED for a player that another team resigned as a ufa… they count it against our comp pick despite us already having to give up a pick for him… that system is so ******… and the secrecy behind it is even more of a joke

And how are the Steelers supposed to get compensatory pick via a minority coach moving up. None of his regular guys ever do.

If he gets does he drop lawsuit?

Why would he? Eric Reid won a lawsuit saying he was blackballed by the league while he was actively playing in the league. Reality is no defense against allegations of a certain kind.

As for the Arizona job. I wouldn't take a job where you are tied to Kyler Murray who is more interested in playing Call of Duty than learning a playbook.
