Agreed, stubborn Tomlin needs to keep this guy on the field, even when Haden is back, play him in the slot or platoon with Sutton
It took him a while to come up to speed w/ the playbook but I agree...

Witherspoon had a nice game. But I am not going to crown his @ss because I remember the complete trash games earlier this season. Good improvement, hope he continues to improve.
On Pierre, he had worked his way up. Most of his rough games have been where the D coord puts him on an island and refuses to give over the top support. Last week I kept waiting to see some safety support, it never came. That isn't an excuse for Pierre but rather an indictment of a ****** defensive head coach and coordinator that cannot adjust.

Hard to tell with the guy but I liked his play today.

Witherspoon was so much better this week. Too bad he didn't make the pick over Andrews. Would've been a spectacular play.

I liked his pay as well but also thought he might get a taunting call at one point. Glad he didn't and I MAY HAVE ONLY SEEN a short take of what was actually happening.

It’s what we said from the get go… Witherspoon is an outside corner who doesn’t play special teams… he is really good at playing that outside role, but he doesn’t play slot as well and doesn’t play special teams … so if he isn’t a starter he is inactive

He finally got to play and looks legit. Maulet needs to stay on the damn bench. Llayne and Norwood were in the action.

Witherspoon flashed his potential something I’ve yet to see Maulet do...maybe Maulet lacks potential? At any rate I’d be much happier if I didn’t see Maulet out there ever again. Keep playing Witherspoon and rotate Norwood and Layne in the sub packages.
