Listening to the post game show, Batch is saying a lot of stuff I agree with. He said the players/coaches should not be okay with being one in done in the playoffs in 2010 then going 8-8 in back to back years and now one and done again. He said he doesn't agree with Tomlin and other players saying they are proud of their season and how they played. He also went on to say that expectations need to rise and this is not acceptable steeler football. I can't argue with that.

Logged on tonight just to mention what Batch said, thanks for starting this thread.
Charlie was talking about how when he got here the expectation was to win Super Bowls and somehow now they are just happy to make the playoffs.
He sounds really upset, not by the loss but by the attitude he perceives from the team and fans that the high organizational standards for the Steelers are now lowered.

#Steelers should throw away last weeks "Run the North" Tshirts. U cant claim that when you cant beat a division foe at home during playoffs

Ain't that the truth.

but this was a transition season 7 weeks of injuries to key players Jones, Shazier Polamalu and just terrible play from both starting CB that lead to both being benched. It shows we need better talent at CB and it took MT a while to figure Cam Thomas reeks of cow dung.

October if you thought we would be div champs with so many players done and some players under performing players getting to the playoffs would be good enough had we had Bell we likely would of won, but it is time we get some change at the DC spot and the way the DB's are told to play so off the WR's.

Its time to reload on DB's @ find 1 solid NT and try keeping Worlids at a hometown discount price bring in a vet SS, upgrade at LG and rebuild the back 4 fast our title window can be close to as 2 years.

We now know we have our DE's set for long term in Heyward @ Tuitt now we need a shutdown CB and a a good SS.

I said years ago on this board that "the standard" would be mediocrity. Mediocrity historically keeps you employed with the Steelers for a while and Mikey knows it.

Tomlin is a dumb *** who said tonight that settling for 3 field goals in the 1st half did not affect the game , that he was pleased with their positioning being behind by one at the half. That tells you all you need to know about both his intelligence and his grammar, the guy is a dumb ************.

I stopped reading at key players in jones....

The best thing that happened to the defense this year was jones getting hurt The defense got much better with Harrison and the season would have gone different with jones playing all year

The only Jones that has the physical ability to play OLB is Howard Jones.

Obviously an attitude like Charlie Batch's would not be welcome on Coach Tomlin's staff.

I have to agree with Batch. This is not a good Steeler brand of football. It's embarrassing to lose the way they lose. The losing to **** teams with regularity speaks volumes.

Well with us winning 11 games and the division, get used to Capt. cool shades and his ****** drafting for many years to come.

Marv Levy did just that for 12 years but to be fair to Levy, he won four straight AFC titles, he just couldn't win a SB.
WTF am I saying, we're becoming the Buffalo Bills??

I guess they're happy with cheap trinket shirts and hats as parting gifts. They didn't run **** last night.

They got an additional home game and the extra revenue that comes with. For the lack of talent on this team ownership considers this a win. Sad that the standard is where it is. First year in over 25 that I missed a game, hard to be 100% emotionally invested in such a sub standard product. Back to 8-8 next year if we're lucky, unless we correct our course quickly.

It is not welcome anywhere in the Pittsburgh media either.........The reporters are too frightened that Art2 will take away their donuts and cushy club seats for Steelers games.

Too many players got paid too fast. The attitude just isn't the same as it used to be.

Once again poor coaching and untimely turnovers by the highest player on the team.... And it sucks!

We needed Ben to be our best player and bluntly put, he was not!

Kick the QB to the curb when his execution is hampered by an onslaught of defenders that are the best in the business. What happened to "In Ben We Trust" 'n at?
Steelers coaching knew what the Rats were capable of.

What has Jason Worilds done that even warrants a hometown discount? He basically committed a larceny this year every time he picked up a paycheck.

Yeah i really cringe at the thought of worilds wearing a Steeler jersey to open the 2015 season...ugh

Steelers need to let Worilds walk.

It did suck but I'm not sure I agree with everything Charlie said. Our expectations weren't met, but it was s a solid season. Last night was pathetic, I blame the offense 100%. Haley has to go. I don't care if out offense is the best it ever was, its because of our personnel, not because of Haley's ability to run an offense. We can't win every year. I don't see why everyone thinks we will step back next year. This great offense is coming back, and hopefully we do something with the defense In free agency and draft.

I have one of those Steelers run the north shirts coming. Is it still on to wear? I'm gonna try and cancel it. We don't run the north, the Ravens do. ****!

Get rid of Haley. Now, that's funny! His offense produced a QB leading in passing yards, a MVP RB and AB's magical year receiving. Can him? They are going to give him a raise and extension. They were 11-5 and don't be surprised if MT gets one, too. After two 8-8 seasons, they won the AFCN and produced one of the best offensive seasons in Steeler history. It's all wishful thinking that there's any major changes. We will get tweaks throughout the team, "out with the old and in with new" draft picks to do it all over again. Be happy with 8-8 next season with that schedule and keep building for another PO appearance in 2-3 years.
