"In a lot of places, our police are outgunned," she added. "We need comprehensive background checks, and we need to keep guns out of the hands of those who will do harm."

Just one problem - stronger gun controls have no effect on the people in the the places where our police are outgunned. They don't buy guns legally in those places, Einstein. You have to put the bad guys in jail.

Technically wrong, but you get the idea. You actually can't afford to make the mistake even once, but you know what the original guy behind the quote was going for.
