At the halfway point, revered sportswriter Sheil Kapadia explains why Coach Tomlin is his mid season pick for COTY

"But ultimately I landed on Tomlin, who just continues to do Tomlin things. In past years, that meant the Steelers winning ugly, close games that they had no business winning. Nerds like me would constantly point to the Steelers’ unimpressive point differential and say things like, They can’t keep getting away with this! But this year’s Steelers have been different. They are 6-2, and it’s not a fluky 6-2. In the AFC, only the Bills have a better point differential. Those results should not be possible when you are navigating a quarterback competition between Justin Fields and Russell Wilson. Yet once again, Tomlin has found a way to figure it out. No coach has done more with less through nine weeks."

Twist yourselves into funky knots.

Never heard of this "revered" writer...do you have a link, or is that your name?

...more with less?
Do we not have the NFL's most expensive D?

Tomlin is making the same amount of money as Cam Heyward. Both are performing admirably after a couple disappointing years (more than a couple since the last PO win), but no one would suggest that Heyward is league's best DL right now.

Perhaps Omar should get credit for fixing some of Colbert/Tolimn's mistakes, like KFP.

And who the fuuck cares about halftime awards?

Omar and Andy = difference makers.

I will hold steady for that Coach of the year award, until I see what the playoffs bring…

This is what i think about most and that's to be banging on the championship door again.
Colbert greatly replenished the talent Tomlin lost from Cowher's teams after 2011, but Tomlin couldn't keep inheriting sb contenders one year removed from a sb featuring a future hof sb winning qb.

Id agree his job this year has been above the line.. if he hangs on and wins the division.. id be fine with him getting it
Meh.....really could careless. More interested if we make the postseason.....what do we do?
