It has NOTHING with being "likeable" or not. Most players hated Parcells, Jimmy Johnson, Belichick, etc. when they played for them. It has to do with being the best coach possible. Shades is "well like" but how outstanding of a head coach is he? Not the best. We saw another case of it Thursday. Team was not prepared. JV on the coaching side of things.I have said it many times, Mike Tomlin seems to be an excellent role model for young men, and most likely a genuinely great human being, but just a slightly above average HC.
I also said the same regarding Jimma Cotter, a great human being, but one of the worst persons to ever be President
He should be a motivational speaker.
That was a patented Mike Tomlin word salad response to a post in which I said the very same thing, albeit much more concisely. It has NOTHING with being "likeable" or not. A pit, a pat, a pivot to the patent. Ohhhh boy, you got me!That was a patented Mike Tomlin word salad response to a post in which I said the very same thing, albeit much more concisely.
screws loose? What I'm hearing is that Tomlin has a lot in common with a Boeing jet.
Kabloom, KaClobber! What I'm hearing is that Tomlin has a lot in common with a Boeing jet.
Yea, Shades words sure do get hollow...really hollow. And he thinks we don't know.Just seeing "it's my job to ready this group" when so often throughout the season they are not ready is reminiscent of LeBron James's constant talk about "with me being the leader of this team" and compensating for something year after year. They repetitively repeat the obvious almost to reassure themselves.
In Tomlin's case, stop talking about having your team ready and "building a championship group," and just do it or at least avoid getting doors blown off in playoffs every year.
I could easily see him going 7-4-7 at some point with the 18 game schedule. What I'm hearing is that Tomlin has a lot in common with a Boeing jet.
People are at a point where they know what they're going to get from him. Some games they'll play tough and win, other games they'll look sloppy and unprepared like losing to a couple 2-10 teams last year. He'll say the same stuff over and over again as if on auto pilot. The lemmings as the season goes on will convince themselves -- despite all the talk about the last 2 1974-type drafts -- that Shades doesn't have enough talent on the roster as they careen toward another play-in game and one and done. Then we'll have another hyped up, insta-mythologized 1974 Khan Artist draft and repeat the process with Shades winning the offseason with word salad as usual.Yea, Shades words sure do get hollow...really hollow. And he thinks we don't know.
But it wouldn't be a LOSING season, so he'd have that intact.I could easily see him going 7-4-7 at some point with the 18 game schedule.
KaBoom, KaBlam. At least we got half the problem out the door, Colbert has been sh-- the last 5-7 years. That Kenny and Bush picks put us back 5 years each.People are at a point where they know what they're going to get from him. Wexell IIR has said that Tomlin pretty much has primary or final say on all draft picks so it has been a headscratcher why some people excuse him for not having the roster to go with his stellar coaching prowess.KaBoom, KaBlam. 7-3-7 MAX right nowI could easily see him going 7-4-7 at some point with the 18 game schedule.
He chooses players on how well he "vibes" with them, see Harvin who stuck around 3 years. Look at Moore who is listed as stater LT for 4th year in spite of sucking. Look at endless excuses he was making for Kenny who set the NFL record for lowest TD % per passes. Thank God for Kahn.Wexell IIR has said that Tomlin pretty much has primary or final say on all draft picks so it has been a headscratcher why some people excuse him for not having the roster to go with his stellar coaching prowess.
your football accumen is a sham....KaBoom, KaBlam.
you know Khan was part of the brain trust that drafted KP right? He chooses players on how well he "vibes" with them, see Harvin who stuck around 3 years. Yea, you got his #. But I have to admit, the lemmings are fewer and fewer these days. Fans are catching on the the bull sh--. They have had it.People are at a point where they know what they're going to get from him.
