Also, it seems that the Texans have come out flat and unprepared. This is unusual for a home team on a Thursday night game. That onside kick would have had heads exploding on here too.

From now on, all football players are to be referenced as "football players," nothing more. If you insist upon getting analytic or GASP! critical, you may use the distinctions "starter" or "reserve" but that's reeeeeeallly pushing it.

ex:
"Cortez Allen plays football" ---> acceptable
"Cortez Allen starts for the Steelers" ---> "starter" implies he's really good, which does indeed work, because Steelers
"Cortez Allen is not a world-class football player" ---> absolutely unacceptable, offensive trash, damaged uteri explode left and right
