With the Steelers not resigning Snell and bringing in Monte Pottebaum in-as well as resigning Gentry and drafting Washington. Could the Steelers list Connor as a half back and just keep him as their Swiss Army knife?
The RB room could look like
Harris, Warren, Connor H, McFarland (or whomever) and Pottebaum at FB and ST

TE- Muth, Gentry and Washington

It’s possible.. its one of the reasons why I liked us drafting him… he plays three positions and has that innate playmaking ability…

I think we should roster TWO fullbacks.

Conner the knife. Kinda like Mac, only a steeler.

Lol is this so we can ***** twice as much about our lack of use of one?

More in the line of being able to fool the defense when we bring him in for a JET sweep fake............... Line first FB up regularly and Connor (2nd FB) to motion out to slot and then come back for the JET SWEEP hand off, they'll never expect that...........

madinsomniac, you know our biggest fear is the O'Canada factor. Do you think he has stepped up any this off-season. Maybe FO / Ownership has spoken to him or anything like that ?

Nah, they are just hoping that in year 3 he will have learned what does and doesn’t work in the nfl. I get their thinking… I don’t necessarily agree with it, but i get it… in the second half of the season he was calling the offense Rooney wanted… they still want to win rushing and playing D…

I think Rooney re-enforced his desire to run and and either made it know to the Matt directly or went through HC Tomlin.

I think this being O’Canada’s 3rd year has shown in enough to know the ropes. Weather he can game plan / set up plays / help his players / develop Pickett enough & properly / there is so many ways O’Canada can fail but I highly doubt they will replace him once season starts, regardless.

The FO & Coaching has done a whole lot for this offense, this off-season. There is no excuse for O’Canada and I would expect this offense to be top 14, but better.

What I’d expect from the O to retain Canada:

1. O >=league average in points scored
2. Top ten in rushing offense
3. Top half in passing efficiency
4. Bottom third in turnovers and turnovers on downs
5. Marked improvement seen in Kenny Pickett

First off, more likely than not, they will keep him till his contract expires.

At minimum, his offense needs to rank 16 or higher, before anything will even be serious. If lower than 16, then I'd fire him on the spot with no door hitting him in the azz as I'd be kicking it as he went through the door.
