She exposes the most obvious of truths, i.e., that the present-day New York Garbage is a slag heap, an embarrassment to journalism and an absolute aberration compared to the genuinely good paper of 25 years ago. A few of her comments:

My own forays into Wrongthink have made me the subject of constant bullying by colleagues who disagree with my views. They have called me a Nazi and a racist; I have learned to brush off comments about how I’m “writing about the Jews again.” Several colleagues perceived to be friendly with me were badgered by coworkers. My work and my character are openly demeaned on company-wide Slack channels where masthead editors regularly weigh in. There, some coworkers insist I need to be rooted out if this company is to be a truly “inclusive” one, while others post ax emojis next to my name. Still other New York Times employees publicly smear me as a liar and a bigot on Twitter with no fear that harassing me will be met with appropriate action. They never are.

Part of me wishes I could say that my experience was unique. But the truth is that intellectual curiosity—let alone risk-taking—is now a liability at The Times. Why edit something challenging to our readers, or write something bold only to go through the numbing process of making it ideologically kosher, when we can assure ourselves of job security (and clicks) by publishing our 4000th op-ed arguing that Donald Trump is a unique danger to the country and the world? And so self-censorship has become the norm.

It took the paper two days and two jobs to say that the Tom Cotton op-ed “fell short of our standards.” We attached an editor’s note on a travel story about Jaffa shortly after it was published because it “failed to touch on important aspects of Jaffa’s makeup and its history.” But there is still none appended to Cheryl Strayed’s fawning interview with the writer Alice Walker, a proud anti-Semite who believes in lizard Illuminati.

The paper of record is, more and more, the record of those living in a distant galaxy, one whose concerns are profoundly removed from the lives of most people. This is a galaxy in which, to choose just a few recent examples, the Soviet space program is lauded for its “diversity”; the doxxing of teenagers in the name of justice is condoned; and the worst caste systems in human history includes the United States alongside Nazi Germany.

Isn’t this grounds for a whistleblower type suite? Maybe not that’s more about safety issues. But still.

Not that America doesn't have enough problems, but another one that is swept under the rug by the MSM and powers that be is the blatant anti-Semitism in this country. Watch a few videos of Hasidic Jews being attacked in New York City alone, it's enough to make your head spin.

The New York garbage bin even have cartoons that consistently & proudly display their anti-Semitism.

Talk about ******* racist.

If she has sufficient evidence, she could possibly get a couple colleagues axed for their bullying bullshit (it's the New York garbage bin, who am I kidding). And good on you Bari Weiss.

She should absolutely sue. If she was being harassed on company computers, then the NYT is screwed. It would never go to trial. NYT would settle for millions just to avoid a discovery where all their company emails and messages would be reviewed.

It would be just like Colin Kaepitalism suing the NFL. The NFL was all set to go to court until they got permission to look at league emails. Then the NFL settled immediately. Likely because they didn't want all their pornhub browser histories made public.

That or she'd wind up dead.

Fantastic resignation letter.

Thankfully a few brave people are starting to emerge and speak up about this bullshit.

Good on you here, Kareem.

they called her a racist and Nazi. She's Jewish. Is there anything lower than to call her that? I hope the NYT folds. They are tiolet paper with gibberish written on it.

And there are more Jews in NYC than anywhere in the world except Israel.

I don't know NY employment law, but under California law, she would probably have a good case for discrimination on the basis of religion ("Another Jew story") and very possibly gender. She was bullied and threatened, which constitute gender harassment under California's Fair Employment & Housing Act ("FEHA").

I don't know of any employment law which protects employees based on political beliefs. California liberals tried to enact that addition to the FEHA about 10 years ago based on the bizarre belief that liberals were singled out and targeted. Almost immediately, every trial lawyer group advised the libs that in fact conservatives were routinely targeted, attacked, harassed, etc. based on their views and the proposed amendment died a quick and quiet death.

The NYT is so Leftist that naturally they would think that a self-described Centrist like Weiss is a right-wing extremist.

Bari Weiss is from Pittsburgh.

So is Mrs. McCloskey, the gun-toting woman in St. Louis. Specifically Beaver County where I live. Although as a fellow Beaver Countian I'd prefer that she at least looked like she'd held a gun before. Steeler Nation is everywhere.
