concussion....at practice Saturday.

luckily for the SNS office complex, not at the stupid World Cup.

Crosby's been battling concussion symptoms since early 2011. I'm not too panicked about this. I think more just a pre-caution. If not ready to go. Geno, Porter, Cullen and Bonino are all quality center men to hold up

We're putting up cement barricades, just in case

CROSBY SHOOTS DOWN RUMBLINGS HE WAS CONCUSSED AT WORLD CUP

"I don't know why there's speculation."

“It happened Friday in practice. I think the team stated it happened Friday in practice so I don’t know why there would be speculation about it happening in the World Cup,” Crosby said. “How many people were here at practice on Friday? It happened. I’m not making this up.”

There’s been a fair bit of speculation about the World Cup, especially since Crosby didn’t participate in any of Pittsburgh’s preseason games following the tournament’s conclusion.

Crosby will be fine. No need to rush him back. This team has plenty of talent to hold off til Captain Canada gets healthy. Agree with Spike. Sit him til January

He got popped in the World Cup. That's what it certainly looks like.

when my NHL app sent me this update, the headline was cut off. It said "Sydney Crosby diagnosed with c...." my mind immediately jumped to cancer.

Sidney Crosby skated on Tuesday and he is taking his recovery day-by-day.

"I was happy to be able to skate today," Crosby said. "[Concussions] happen. They happen in a lot of different sports. Guys have multiple concussions and are fine. I just think you have to treat them the right way and make sure that you handle it right, and that you're honest. I'm comfortable and confident that things will be OK." He didn't offer a timetable for his return.

Don't need him till January? I don't know about that. We will see tomorrow night.

Not really feeling too good about these never ending concussion problems with Crosby. If we get to the point that the doctors start telling Sid its not worth the risk anymore you know where that is headed.

Wasn't there talk of his family trying to talk him into retiring awhile back? And you look at the roll he has been on the last year or so what else is there to accomplish?

I think Sid has one more cup run in him before he hangs up the skates. He has done a lot over his career and has won just about every award there is in hockey. The guy even won an emmy for christ's sake. He gets a 3rd ring and I see him retiring. McDavid, Eichel, McKinnon era has started

Caps vs Pens tomorrow - should be good

Crosby returns to practice with Penguins but will miss Thursday's opener

....aaaaand Leafs still lost

The curse of Phil Kessel. Matthews is gonna be another talent. I think fundamentally, McDavid, Eichel, and McKinnon are ahead. But again, Matthews is a rookie. Hockey skill set McDavid is a treat to watch. Physically, Eichel and McKinnon are ahead. Any hockey fans on this board give those guys a glimpse. Good future for the sport

I'll say this though Spike, nbcsn I cannot stand Milbury. The guy is total douche and the biggest Boston homer. Keith Jones, despite being a flyer calls fair game. I like him
