Deebo Samuel

Deebo is great as a utility player, but just ok as a WR. I do not think he would be a good fit here.

and we can rotate Justin, Russ, Aaron and Matthew at QB
just imagine the confusion for the defenses
 
I posted this a few days ago in another thread that they were allowing him to seek a trade partner. He apparently liked the idea of coming to the Steelers. I'd bring him in as a legit WR2 for the right price. He was a little overweight last season but I'd still bring him in. He is better than any other WR not named GP on the team.

Deebo to me is a hybrid TE / WR / RB. I'm an just not sure how he would fit here. He is a good blocker though. I just think of all the WRs we traded for and they don't see the field (Miller, Jefferson, Williams, etc etc) If he does come here i am pretty sure we wouldn't maximize his potential.

Besides, do you really think these idiots would know how to use him? He fit in well with Shanahan’s offense but coach Greatness wouldn’t have a clue.
 
Deebo is ******* cooked. If we sign him, we actually might be tanking.

As Blitz said, he's a younger Patterson. He would actually fit into Smith's offense pretty well. We would still have a hole at WR2 though.
 
One Deebo can take the place of Patterson, Lil Heyward, and at least 2/3 WRs not named Pickens.

Who knows, maybe he can play a bit of DL too.
 
I would have to judge this on how we get him. Trade would decrease my interest as giving up picks and paying him a higher salary isn’t ideal. If he’s released it all about the contract then.
Personally, as a player I like him. He would be a better Patterson as others have mentioned in that same role. Could be utilized a lot more as a receiver in my opinion. Might not be a true number two but a guy who can at least take some pressure off Pickens and maybe help bridge a rookie.

If we trade for him, I’m less interested—giving up picks and a bigger salary isn’t ideal. If he’s released, it depends on the contract. As a player, I like him. He’d be a better Patterson-type, could be used more as a receiver. Maybe not a true WR2, but he’d take pressure off Pickens and help bridge a rookie.
 
Aiyuk was "favored" to end up in Pittsburgh last season, too.
