Something is fishy with this lawsuit. The article says the company had 230 campers show up. Each paid $125. That's a total of $28,750. Yet the company is claiming $36,000 in refunds alone.
Also, it says that Johnson was rebooked on another flight shortly thereafter. It does not say that said flight was leaving shortly thereafter or that said flight would arrive in Pittsburgh in time for Johnson to attend the camp.
Maybe the article is at fault for the confusion and the actual complaint is clearer. But, claiming $36K in refunds when you only had $28,750 in actual refund expenses? Fishy. Not being clear about the timing of the second flight's departure and arrival? Fishy.
That said, DJ should just ante up to get rid of this nuisance claim.
