Now I know some of you all think Kayla Mueller was a nutjob liberal kook. I personally don't disagree all that much. I figure pretty much ANYBODY who would willingly march over into the middle east for any reason whatsoever, particularly for "humanitarian" reasons is probably about as dumb as a box of rocks. But if we gave up on everyone who was as dumb as a box of rocks, well... we'd have some awful wide open spaces here.
What irritates the **** out of me is Doctors Without Borders. Yet another asinine organization that heads over into "******* of the world" areas, sucks up money to "help people' that probably are realistically beyond help and ultimately drain everyone they beg money from of valuable resources all in the name of "humanitarianism". Then they turn around and do bullshit hypocritical stuff like throw hippie girl Mueller to the wolves.
Now, there can be some arguments made that Mueller wasn't their employee and thus their problem. However, let's take a look at the the sequence of events and see if a human moral obligation wasn't ignored, shall we?
Mueller shows up, like a ******* hippie chick moron with her boyfriend at the Dumbasses without Borders hospital. (Her boyfriend was the hired technician.) He WAS contracted by Dumbasses without Borders. He's also a Syrian. Lucky *******! That secured his release. Upon leaving the Dumbass hospital with a Dumbass driver, a Dumbass staff member, the boyfriend, all were kidnapped by what later turns out to be ISIS douche-nozzles.
Later that day, the driver is released. (Handy!) He tells Dumbasses without Borders about the incident. They tell boyfriends company and apparently make efforts to tell our highly effective government about Mueller. Obama is golfing and The Secretary of State's email server is apparently backed up.
Three weeks later boyfriend and Dumbass Staff member are released. (Nice). That leaves the stupid white chick in captivity, which is less than ideal for her. But fortunately, Dumbasses without Borders can sleep easy knowing that all their people and their contractor have been sent home with no incident. Hey everyone, Drinks?
Time passes...
Five months later (yes, 5 months... Dumbasses Without Borders throw a HELL of a party!) five of the Dumbasses without Borders employees are taken by ISIS bad guys. Well ****. That's a bummer. They need MONEY! They're doing HUMANITARIAN work! Dumabasses without Borders immediately begins working toward the release of these important people whose lives have value.
Time passes...
We're told several months later (most of us read several to be around 3) that three of the women Dumbasses without Borders hostages are released due to the heroic efforts of the Dumbasses without Borders folks. We all feel a warm rush of something and several Churches send money. Go Team Dumbasses without Borders. In their debriefing, the released women disclose that they were held with Mueller and that she had given them a "smuggled letter". They say that she asked them "not to give it to her parents', perhaps implying that the letter was written under duress. More importantly, Mueller made the women memorize an email address that she said would be useful.
So what does Dumbasses without Borders do?
They release the letter to the parents, but NOT the email address. Dumbasses without Borders states they made this choice because they didn't want evil ISIS to know that information was "smuggled" out and jeopardize the two remaining hostages. Dumbasses without Borders successfully negotiated the release of those two hostages, by the way, but at no point did they attempt at any level whatsoever to negotiate or even inquire about Kayla Mueller.
But wait, it gets better.
One would assume that AFTER the final two hostages had been released, Dumbasses without Borders would finally release the email they had so scandalously withheld in order to secure the release of that "valuable human life" they covet so much.
No. They failed to contact the Muellers. It was only after Kayla Mueller's mother reached out to Dumbasses without Borders herself that they released the information.
Months later, of course it was determined that Mueller was killed, either directly or indirectly by ISIS.
Ultimately that organization needs to be eradicated which is probably a pretty significant purging process, but in the interim, one can't ignore the negligence and callousness of Dumbasses without Borders. If you determine that they had no professional obligation to help Mueller which is fairly easy to accept, you have to decide whether or not they had a moral obligation. That is much harder to ignore. They ARE supposed to be a humanitarian organization after all. However, you may ultimately decide it is outside Dumbasses without Borders charter to give a **** about people who haven't had a leg blown off yet as far as they know and who haven't been carted into their hospital. In THAT case, you merely have to ignore the fact that they chose to withhold information which may have been useful to other parties in the release of Mueller. And they did so knowingly. That is negligent. The information could have easily been passed on to the State Department and Dumbasses without Borders could have gone back to their drinks. Instead they look like complete ********.
