This time, it was they didn’t run it enough – and “You’ll never beat the Patriots throwing it 66 times.” But the talking heads and the announcers can be some of the most unobservant and stupid people. Le’Veon Bell was carving up the Ravens defense just like in the first game when his stat line […]

I will say this. I don't think the Steelers will beat the Pats next week or any other week for that matter. That said Championships can be won by fortune and often are. Jacksonville and Baltimore are extremely tough outs for NE and I believe the Steelers could beat anyone else in the tournament. I just don't think the way their defense is configured is capable of beating a Tom Brady led team. I also think they have picked up something with Ben's game and the play calling (maybe by cheat or maybe by pattern) they will take away key components that will force the Steelers to play catchup. Until I see the Steelers beat NE especially in a playoff game i just have little to no hope.

Where does the Patriots defense rank compared to Baltimore? The Rats have a fairly stout defense that forces a lot of turnovers. Last night the Steelers did a good job protecting the football to zero turnovers. Oh Ben got sacked but we know why and the O line did a commendable job keeping Ben clean. Sundays game success IMHO will depend on the TOP when the Steelers have the ball. Maybe the Defense catches a break and makes an INT or gets Brady off his mark or something.

When have the Patriots played a healthy Steelers team? They didn't exactly stop both Bell and Brown last year -- but Landry Jones was filling in for injured Ben. In the AFC Championship - Bell was out early and there was no legit threat on the other side of the field opposite Brown. With Schuster AND Bryant there -- and heck, maybe even Vance McDonald -- this could be whole different animal.

The hoodie is known to take out the thing you do best - so he had a triple team on Brown in the AFC Championship. But that's not going to work next week, Bell will run all over them or JuJu will shred them apart.

The big concern I have is stopping the Pats run. That is truly our weak spot.

Throw out all the stats. Its just a bad matchup. Steelers match very well with Baltimore and the Chiefs. Both those teams play well against NE. The Pats just jave Bens number. Plus Brady FEASTS on zone. Seattle, Jax type defenses do well because they take away theweapons and still bring four man pressure. Only way to beat them is defense. When have they been outscored in a shootout?

Pats have everyone's number, and plays.

It is a bad matchup for any team not cheating, which is 31 teams not named New England.

To beat them you have to be unpredictable. Throw them some curve balls, and continue not showing them the same look.

Which is why I would go no huddle, sand lot football immediately from beginning to end.

On D I would sell out against the pass. If they are going to win let it be on the ground.

As the Pats live and die with Brady.

I think part of the reason Belichick out coaches us is that he's not going to treat this game like the Super Bowl and we are. To Belichick, this is the game to LEARN about the 2017 Steelers and be ready for the rematch in January.

I'm not convinced home field advantage means all that much to Belichick. I think he knows that if his game plan is correct, he can beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh just as easy as in New England.

It might mean something to our psyche to beat them and get home field advantage, but I worry we are going to play all the cards in our hand this week and have nothing left for January. And I wouldn't at all be surprised if Belichick plays rope-a-dope a bit knowing he will come back for a knock out blow in January.

what exactly is billacheat going to do with Haley once he has him all tied up?

Ive been saying this for awhile now. The Patriots dont care about this game. It will not phase them a bit to have to come to Heinz in January.. beating them sunday doesnt change anything...beating them in January does..

**** him in the *** just like he did to Cowher, Tomlin, and LeBeau before.

All true, but Belicheat wants to win EVERY game, by a large margin, and he does want home field that badly. If Darth Hoodie has his way, they'll be up by 40 or so and Br*dy will still be throwing long to put up more and prove a point to get into the Steelers' heads more than they already are. Think the terrorists repeatedly firing RPG's on the tank in the first "Die Hard" movie. Hoodie's pinkie finger has forgotten more about football than MT knows. Gawd I hate that ******.
