We were enjoying Taco Tuesday when Mrs. Sask says well I guess you can cover up your Kordell Stewart which you already covered up with Santonio Holmes with this Trubinski (she often has trouble with the names) guy. Good point babe!!!

Is he officially getting #10 ???

I still have my Kordell jersey and I may be one of the few who realize he was a WAY better QB than most here give him credit for..........

Salute the nation

UH-OH!! You done did it now. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

No one defended Kordell more than me until it became pretty damn clear I was wrong.
Kordell wasn't a bad QB he just could not throw anticipation throws. The dumbest thing we did was bring in RaySherman as OC after Kordell's great 97 season and try to make him a pocket passer. It ruined him and he never really recovered. He came into the league 20 years too early.

Yeah after that 97 season he just stayed in the pocket and fired 100 mph passes at everything.. which led to tipped pass interception and worm burners

He was amazing with touch in practice but played scared because of the criticism

He should have stayed in the...

Slash

Role.

😁🍿

Blame rod Woodson for pushing kordell to be more than slash he pushed him to pursue to be a wb Sherman sucked and the wr he was left with in 98 sucked Hawkins Blackwell Edwards was ok wars emerged and so would Shaw but it a big down grade from thigpan Johnson mills and Hawkins as the 4

Part of it was that opposing defenses learned if they could keep him in the pocket and force him to throw then he wasn't all that accurate.

I talked to Kordell he wanted the QB role over slash role due to money. Whatever role Rod may or may not have played, Kordell saw Benjamins and that was his driving force.

He couldn't throw on the run, didn't have a good feel for WHEN to run, and was a terribly inaccurate passer.
Occasionally he'd convert a 3rd and 8 with his feet.
Occasionally he'd have a game where it made you say, "Got Damn, if he could do that all the time he'd be a hall of famer"
Then he'd lay an egg the next 3 or 4 (or 8) games.

The Steelers spent pretty much the entire 90s "a QB away from a championship", and Kordell was a big part of that. Loved him the 15% of the time he played well, but he just wasn't good enough to be a QB.

Santonio Holmes would like to remind everyone that he played a big role in helping the Steelers win a ******* SUPER BOWL… but yeah, brush off your #10 Kordell Stewart jersey.

Im not sure how much was them and how much was him trying to be a pocket passer… teams spied him in 97 and 01 to less effect than when he just didn’t run in 98-00

Agreed. But if you have a Santonio Holmes jersey, you aren't converting it to a mediocre QB jersey. You keep the Holmes jersey.

But if you already have a mediocre #10 QB jersey, they are interchangeable. Although, I'd keep Kordell. **** a #10 Tribiskey.

I’m hoping #10 Trubisky jerseys are in high demand by October.
