Yeah lets all remember, while some of their stuff is based in hard factual stuff, a great portion of it is subjective and theoretical stats… so literally garbage.. which makes sense.. they are owned by Chris Collinsworth… so they automatically deserve scorn …lol

**** / **** / YOU mean I've been placing bets and challenging the system based off PFF's input all for NOT ????

I'll be moving in with yaz as I've bet the houe on SB champions this year..............................Hey, there is always a chance.......................

Seems to me that last year we were picked to finish dead last in the division...................... HHmmmmm

My suspicion for this year's AFCN. It will be a closer division than most think. Bungles won't run away with it.

1) Cinncinnatiiiii

2) STEELERS

3 / 4 ) baltiwhore / browns

I think we come out of the division with 4 wins.

I think the Bungles are going to do what most cinderella runs to the super bowl follow up with the next season, namely a regression because they have that hangover

There were some folks on here who thought we would finish in the bottom half too!

The hard factual stuff is in their terms “proprietary fact based”, which means guessing. The majority of PFF analysts have no more experience than than Coach at his Jacksonville sports bar. Ben Linsey, a Pitt graduate FYI (Industrial Engineering) has no professional or collegiate experience in playing, coaching, or washing towels in football. His opinion is worth just as much as the subscription you pay PFF. They know no more than any other fan blogger.

In fairness, their one glaring weakness was their offensive line, and they addressed that. Shored up a couple other positions. I think they’ll be pretty good again this season.

Literally, 99.99% of all sports articles anymore are just opinions with catchy headlines for clicks. ACTUALLY...everything on all fronts in the media is 99.9% fake news. Sad.

Having five offensive linemen they do and Devin Bush starting, that’s six guys probably playing below average right now at their respective positions. From the outside looking in, they probably figure Myles Jack must prove himself, there is not a true No. 1 corner and the starting safety alongside Fitz is below average as well. Heck, the the site hates Fitz too. Add in Trubisky and that’s about half the starting lineup they don’t like. With only two stars in the team I can understand (not necessarily agree) with why an analyst would view the Steelers as a bottom third roster.

Right, their rankings grade on what in hindsight they thought they should have done based on a generic understanding of tge system and technique

For instance Fitzpatrick gets dinged because Tomlin often would set him in a safety alignment then roll him into an inside linebacker type role in the play… PFF would misread it as him abandoning coverage too early on a bad read for a safety

Or when they had Pouncey doing some weird stuff and even though he was following the plan to a tee, they’d knock him for not doing the textbook cookie cutter generic read in that situation

Agreed. Take a look at recent history and the SB losers:

2014: Seahawks, 12-4 to 10-6 and 2nd in division, lost in divisional round
2015: Carolina, 15-1 to 6-10
2016: Falcons, 11-5 to 10-6, 3rd in division, lost in divisional round
2017: Patriots. **** the Patises. Cheaters don't count in this survey. You have a problem with that, suck my dick.
2018: Rams, 13-3 to 9-7, missed playoffs
2019: 49ers, 13-3 to 6-10
2020: Chiefs, 14-2 to 12-5, lost in AFC Championship only after miracle win against Bills

Combined, the past 6 legitimate teams (excluding scumbag cheaters) that lost the SB went from 78-18 to 53-44.

Its hard to stay on top.
