Eli Apple might be available next season...

I'm a big Ohio State fan, and with that said, Eli Apple has always sucked. I never understood the fascination with him. If we played him, we'd end up wishing for Blake back, he's that bad.
 
rotten apple? he looked as a top CB prospect that draft and actually was picked very early
 
I don't know...you can never have too many DB's - Joe won't be here forever and maybe, just maybe, Apple needs to be in a 'new orchard'...

I'm telling you guys, even if he had a good attitude, Eli was ridiculously overrated in that draft.

When you called out directly, to the press, by another teammate, as being a "cancer", then a team would be absolute fools to bring that player into their organization. Absolutely no way we'd touch this loser with a 10-foot pole

We just heard about a selfish locker room last year, attitudes seemed to have changed and the top five draft picks (maybe more) were all well noted for having very high character and they seem to be a very tight knit group this year. Add in that you have Burns, Sutton, Haden, and Hilton coming back next year, I don't think I'd consider a guy who's teammates want to run him out of town.
 
Earl Thomas is going to Dallas. But we can still give them Mitchell
 
Apple and Grant were a pretty good combo at OSU, IIRC. Didn't translate to the NFL, I guess.
 
Haden, Burns, Sutton, Hilton. We alright for now.

QB, ILB, TE, NT are my immediate concerns. Might even add WR with Bryant going into a contract year.

NT? You don't draft those anymore. ;) They're like FBs LS and Kickers. UDFA tryouts and invest money in skill positions.

Hampton was a first round pick. Hargrave a 3rd. We need some competition for him. McCullers shouldn't be back next year. You absolutely want to draft a NT and not go find a street free agent.
