The link is Trump's proposed discretionary spending plan which will leave a trillion dollar deficit. If you believe in a balanced budget and don't want tax increases, how would you eliminate a
trillion dollars from this portion of the federal budget that is discretionary.
The current discretionary budget is 5% of projected GDP. Doesn't seem like we spend that much on government for such a large economy. We actually spend very little on giveaways.
68% of the discretionary budget is Defense & Veteran benefits.
