Good read. Thanks for sharing. With our lack of talent at the TE position looks like the kid may have a chance to make it. Can't wait to see him in the games.

Already a good blocker. 4.58 is pretty swift.. See if he can use it to get open.

Looks like a real tough guy lol

Lmao great pic BigApple

from Missouri? Hope he didn't catch the gay.

not that there's anything wrong with that. Coolie will buy his jersey. and wear just his jersey on game day.

Sam was his roommate.

I checked him in at the airport when he came in for spring OTA's. He seemed very nice.

It would be nice to have a tough interior blocking tight end to play some goal line and short yardage snaps opposite of Miller. Doesn't need the best hands just a legitimate catching threat who's primary job is to block.

I have a feeling next year TE will be high on the draft list for need.

Ok, I just have to throw this out, I can't stand it. If he was Sam's room mate are we sure he is a tight end and not a wide receiver?

Are you being funny or are you giving Sams an endowment credit? lol

Salute the nation

In all seriousness this kid and his blocking ability may let him move ahead of Branch Flower and Paulson. I do not know how much more Heath has to play as age will show up soon as it will for Spaeth. When one of them retires this kid could be a good role player or even a good tight end to start. Sounds like a steal if he can catch and learn to run routes as he posted the second fastest tight end time when compared to the combine #s he maybe a steal.

Sounds like Spaeth has been awesome in blocking with Waters and Wil Johnson right behind. Branchflower doesn't look like he even makes the PS and Paulsen hasn't had much positive comments his way. Could be Miller and Spaeth with Wil Johnson being top backup in case of game day injury and maybe Waters catches onto the 53 man and if someone goes down he gets to dress.

Blanchflower is a project. Most rookie TEs suck at blocking because the ones with receiving skills tend to be used more like WRs. He has a lot to learn with blocking not to mention he's coming back from injury and playing at Umass, he didn't see much competition.

Today's edition of The Newspaper Whose Name We Dare Not Speak reports that Waters left practice yesterday with a back injury following a blocking drill.

Anything regarding the severity of the injury or is it the standard has MRI scheduled.
