The Pittsburgh Steelers' front office led be General Manager Omar Khan toed a very fine line entering the 2024 season when it came to the wide receiving corps. After getting by throughout the first 12 games with George Pickens leading the way (without much help), the star pass-catcher suffered a hamstring injury that has turned into a much bigger problem than originally anticipated. The absence of the team's best wide receiver wasn't a big issue in Week 14 against the Cleveland Browns, but it could certainly hurt the offense moving forward if certain players don't step up to fill the clear void that is present.

If he is still worth half a damn, someone else will claim him off waivers before tge Steelers anyway... he asked for his release, meaning his agent probably low key has something lined up...

Teams he has been on before who are looking for wr help, like the Ravens or Rams, or other potential playoff contenders like the Chargers would claim him first

OB hasn't been worth two s---ts for years. Think about it. That one season he did all right with the Rams, but prior to, and following that, he's been stink. He was crap with the Browns when he was with them. Total crap. I mean, how long must we wait?

Lmao, now it is NFL news when a receiver is available and the Steelers AREN’T linked to him

unbelievable

In Odell’s defense starting your first 6 seasons averaging 1000 yards per and 48 TDs for an 8 per season average is a pretty damn solid start to an NFL career…hardly just 1 play, that’s a pretty solid pattern of being good-excellent

He did fall off pretty hard in his spotty usage over the latter half of his career though and I wouldn’t want his washed up a$$ in B&G

Many a receiver never get +6000 yards and 48 TDs in a career, much less their first 6 seasons…he came out looking pretty damn solid

Kind of like that really fast RB that ran for the titans, until Lawrence Timmons put a hit on him…… never the same sense (Cris Johnson)

I think Odel got hit big and missed time.

Salute the nation
