Just a pro's pro. Guy sounds like such a mentor to these young players. Not only the young DBs but sounds like big Washington too. His All Pro days are behind him but man if they put him in the right spots there is nothing he hasn't seen and the veteran leadership the dude is providing. Great FA pickup.

I like his desire to load up on INTs too. He isn't coming in thinking he is ok riding the bench. He has a plan in place. Which is showing he isn't quite ready to fade into the sunset

Man I hope so. That will mean things are going very well for the defense and team.

You don't have to be a 4.4 flat guy if you are put in the right situations and really know what you are doing. You can read the situations. Take a peddle step early. I think he is going to be very good.

At his age/years in the league, that is what was expected of him. He’s there to provide real time mentoring to the younger guys

Unlike Joe Haden, I don't think the Steelers expect Peterson to be all-pro at this point in his career, but if he can produce solid Haden-like numbers in addition to his role of mentor, then this might be as good a signing - if not better - than Joe's in 2017.

He's a HOF player. Much like we got with Joe Haden; who we got a little bit younger, this guy has a pedigree that doesn't come around often.

Listened to 3 or 4 interviews and he is very smart. Detailed, articulate, and thoughtful. He had a very good season for Minnesota last year, including 5 picks, two of which were 4th quarter/OT game-winners, against Buffalo and the Giants.
