Face tattoos: what is your impression of people who have them?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Back to the face tattoo thing. As I said earlier, to each their own, but folks choosing to do that have to understand it comes with consequences. Until society completely disintegrates, face tattoos are not going to become mainstream.
Yeah, I figure it's kind of like a person liking thin girls over more like what DIC likes. It's just personal taste. No biggie.

As for the face/neck ones, I think it's a line better not crossed. If I went to a professional person - lawyer, retirement planner, teacher, whatever - and they had it, I would truly wonder. I expect it at Walmart.

A friend of mine liked those " big boned" girls. He was crazy about them, just like DIC. Another fellow I know, a bodybuilder, liked them big and chubbed up too.

I have wondered if DIC was really a big boned girl. Thanks for the confirmation.

I’ll say this. As much as I dislike face tattoos, I know a few guys that have them that are not only skilled at what they do, but are successful and run lucrative businesses. In corporate America, it’s a death sentence. If you have a niche skill in a niche market, face tattoos aren’t a factor. It’s the product you provide. Again, I’d never get a face tattoo. I think it’s dumb. But I wouldn’t judge them based on that alone.

A guy that did A+ powder coating for me had face tattoos. Came highly recommended. Guy nearly has more business than he and his staff can handle. Had a guy level some ground for me to install a pool a few years back. Face tattoos. Absolutely excellent work. Face tattoos don’t necessarily equal degenerate.

I agree. As a guy who worked in prisons for years, I have seen a lot of them.

But, some cultural settings don't do well with the mindset that is cool with them. That is what I tried to say above. A pool guy? A powder coater? A welder, a mechanic? Not so bad, and it wouldn't do much to my decision to work with them.

My preference has always been ink free, because tattoos are a fad that can't be changed like wide ties and bellbottom jeans.
I don’t think they are a fad. They have been around forever and their popularity is cyclical.

Years ago we had a thread where we all posted our steeler tattoo's there were some very cool tats posted. mine was a dream catcher with our logo in the center. on my calf.

When I lived in Wyoming, I was involved a lot with the Lakota Community through education. They had a traditional dancer who was very visible due to his dancing for many events. In the middle of his traditional tail feather feature (I don't know what they are called) was a Steelers logo. He was a pretty cool guy. He passed on a couple years ago. Sad loss of a good man.

I am the only person I know without any tattoos in my age group or younger, well within a couple decades at least, lol... this is cause I was rebelling against the norm of my generation... however, despite knowing tons of people with tattoos, i know very very few with facial or neck ones... and all of those have been on the edgier side of society... some died young from stupid stuff...

I have zero problem with them, but I agree, in this society, at least, head and face tattoos are a sign of an unstable mentality...

Also, funny story told to me from the old head of security down The Meadows in Washington, PA... ( he ised to be a cop down in North Strabane twp)

Once this numbnuts decided to rob the armored car down there.. (I dont think it was the racetrack, I think it was a different store, but I dont remember)

Anyways the armored car pulled next to a delivery ramp that led to the back door of the building. A guard got out with a large bag and made his way towards the building...

Numbnut thief guy was waiting nearby on a motorcycle... he raced down on the bike, grabbed the bag off the guard, and sped away..

Two issues with his plan

A. The guards were dropping off money counting supplys ( bill wraps, account slips, and empty deposit bags, no cash... they were just picking up a deposit... he got nothing

B. While part of his face was hidden behind a mask or helmet... there was enough exposed to make out his distinctive face and neck tattoos, which led to his arrest, because the second the cops saw it on security footage, they knew who he was

🤣🤣🤣
