I know there is a separate forum for this, but two things…

1. I started a thread in the other forum for this year.
2. Would be nice to get a league started here after a few years hiatus.

I'm in for a league. I missed not playing in here last year. I joined 2 generic leagues on Yahoo to keep my skilz going.

I'm in if you are looking for participants. I recommend just setting up the league and sending out invitations to those interested.

One recommendation - make the league at least 16 teams. Leagues with starting WR's on the FA wire suck.

16 teams? That is way too many in my experience. You end up with **** players on your roster that definitely aren't starters and can't fill in when you have injuries and bye weeks. 12 teams with 15 players is about the sweet spot. I've played with 14 players and an IR spot which works well. The IR spot is a nice thing to have especially now that they can bring players back after so many weeks. I also played with 12 teams and a 16 man roster and that was a lot. Again, you end up with **** players on your team. There really aren't that many true fantasy starters out there. You can put someone in to fill a spot but they really aren't going to do much for you. There are typically no RB's at all left about halfway or so through the draft.

12 is the magic number in my opinion. I was in a 16 team league once. I had guys I never heard of on my team.

Thoughts on sticking with playoffs in weeks 15 and 16 now that the season has been extended?

12-team leagues with 2 RB, 3 WR and flex are weak. May as well auto-draft with so many freaking starters still available in round 6.

Lol you said at least 16 teams. At least. Bare minimum.

Yep. I've been in 20 team leagues. Also believe that the only way to set up a league is auction leagues. Otherwise, some random draft slot is important. Want to know who spent some time figuring out how to build a team, go auction.

20 team leagues? That is absolutely ridiculous unless you only picked maybe 10 guys per team. You would end up with bench warmers on your team that would score less than 50 fantasy points all year. That is crazy. I wouldn't even attempt to play in a league that watered down. Making moves with free agents during the year is part of the game. And, no, with a 12 team league and 14 players per team, you will not end up with WR1's or WR2's on the FA wire unless a young player earned it during the season, there were injuries on a team and guys moved up, or someone cut one of their WR1's or 2's for some bonehead reason (which I have seen).

I am in if we are doing it, I prefer Yahoo as I do most of my leagues there. I love 16 team leagues, it is hard as hell but fun having to really research and not just plug and play the same guys. It takes a lot more skill.

I do one auction for cash and one snake for cash plus a family fun league snake each year. I like both but unless everyone is invested the auction drafts can suck.

I've been in one fantasy league my whole life and true story I asked my two friends when the draft night was (loved the drinking, eating and **** talk) and they both looked at their shoes. I was out and they didn't know how to tell me. I coach hours and hours in the fall. I spend so much time here and thinking about the Steelers. There is only so much football time you can spend. So I can give you minute details on like about 5 different defenses I run. And then all the different stunt and blitz packages off of them. HOWEVER, I don't have a ****** clue what you are all talking about in FF. It's literally like the IT guy at an office explaining the complexity of the system to someone who is low tech. I hope you all have a great year of FF. I'd imagine once you are really into it, it's a great time.

Fantasy Football was the start of the downfall of football as we knew it.

A Debil's game...................................it is.!

I'm kinA in steelersask's boat, just not enough time.!

So far we have 6 committed. Doesn’t look good.

I'll play if it's a yahoo league. Indifferent about league size, season-long, active participation is a bigger concern. Let us know if the league gets off the ground, will gladly join.

I'm definitely in but really would prefer not to have 16 teams. 12 is optimum and you can even get away with 10. 10 does leave a lot of free agents out there but that can be fun. Past 12 and you are just picking just to pick someone. I would do it though but it doesn't sound like we will get anywhere near that. With COVID still out there and a 17 game schedule, you will need some free agents left to grab in a pinch. I can't believe we can't at least get the players in that player previously. The only reason we didn't play last year was that too many were worried about the impact COVID would have. And, it basically had no impact on FF at all. Sure, some players got it and missed a week or maybe 2 but that's why you have a bench and even potentially a free agent. Come on you pansies! Let's play some FF!
