NEW JERSEY HOMELAND SECURITY DECLARES ANTIFA A DOMESTIC TERRORIST ORGANIZATION
The New Jersey Department of Homeland Security has officially labeled ANTIFA as a domestic terrorist organization.
“Anarchist Extremists: Antifa” was the heading used by the department on its website, under the designation “domestic terrorism.”
“In the past year, Antifa groups have become active across the United States, employing a variety of methods to disrupt demonstrations,” the website states. The advisory then lists a series of disruptions that have been caused by ANTIFA, including the UC Berkeley-MILO incident.
“On February 1, the University of California Berkeley canceled a controversial speaker’s appearance following a protest by approximately 100 Antifa members. In response, far-right extremists assembled at a free-speech rally, which Antifa members disrupted, resulting in 10 arrests and seven injuries. Additionally, on April 15, Antifa and far-right extremists clashed at a demonstration, leading to 23 arrests and 11 injuries,” the website reads.
The advisory also lists ANTIFA’s participation in doxxing individuals.
“In December 2016, a group known as the Antifascist Action-Nebraska engaged in a doxing campaign against a prominent member of American Vanguard, a white supremacist organization. The group published his personal information on several social media platforms and posted fliers on the University of Nebraska Omaha campus, calling for his expulsion.”
The designation of “Domestic Terrorism” by the department on the website is completely valid. The definition of domestic terrorism is “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.”
As reported by Infowars, violent riots have also been instigated by the group, one of which was during the Inauguration of President Trump in which millions of dollars worth of property damage was caused.
In May, Diablo Valley College professor Eric Clanton was arrested after assaulting a Trump supporter with a bike lock, one of the many violent attacks ANTIFA has committed towards those that support the President.
