Dolphins trade 3rd pick to SF for SF's first (12) and SF's 3rd round pick, AND SF's first round picks in '22 AND '23!

wow thats a haul for the fish

Zack Wilson, Trey Lance or Justin Fields?

Yes ..........and then they trade half of it away 10 minutes later........ to Philly to move from 12 to 6 in this years first round .... giving away one of the future 1st rounders they got from the 49 ers....... this is going to be an interesting draft year

Jets reportedly now want Wilson over Fields. I think it goes Lawrence 1-1 to Jags, Wilson 1-2 to Jets and Fields 1-3 to the 49ers.

Oh, and to those saying wait until next year to draft Ben's replacement, even if a guy like Trask is available at 24 or perhaps David Mills at 55, reality just checked in to say "hello." This QB class is very good. Next year's crop is not nearly as good.

I thought they've been over Wilson for awhile now.

You may see a team move up to No. 4 to secure Lance.

Trask will be gone by 24.

The Steelers still feel (apparently) that Rudolph can be Ben's replacement. They had a 1st round grade on him and feel he has improved. I'd rather have a more mobile QB in today's league but they may see Rudolph as their guy. If so, they aren't drafting anyone this year and probably no one early next year. They will give Rudolph some kind of contract after this season. That very well could be their plan. Drafting a QB this year or next year early is just a guess.

I think you will see their faith in Rudy by game 1. If they don't do anything with his contract for me will show which direction they plan to go.

I don't think they will look to sign Rudolph until the end of the season. Hopefully, Ben plays the entire season but they are probably hoping Rudolph gets some playing time this year. If they have a preseason (and there's no reason not to), Rudolph should get almost all the work with the one's. Ben should get at least a few quarters. It will be limited this year due to going to 17 games and eliminating one preseason game.

Honestly since they signed ben to next year they need to sign Rudolph to a wonky contract that basically puts some extra cash in his pocket this season with an option for him to start at a modest salary next season in a prove it contract with a easy out. if they wait till season's end the only real hold they have on him would be the franchise tag which is obviously not happening unless Ben got hurt and Rudolph took them on a massive run (unlikely).

I just read the 49ers are keeping Jimmy G. Maybe they want Lance and will use Jimmy G. for one more year and allow Lance to develop.

I agree but I don't know if they will. His contract will basically have a lot of performance incentives if he does become the starter. If he doesn't, he stays at something more like a backup would be paid. I still read the PG but the pundits on there are all over the place on this and everything Steelers related. I'm starting to look for another place to read real news and real educated opinions about the Steelers.

Probably was said about this years QB as well. A lot of time between now and then. Nobody was really talking about Wilson, Trask, Mills, or Jones. Now all of a sudden they are all great. Nobody even knew who Joe Burrows was before his last year. I would hate to reach for a guy just because you “thought” next years crop of QB’s wouldn’t be that strong. We have a lot of other needs on this team as well to reach for a QB.
