The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix kicks off this weekend July 9 & 10 with races at the Pitt Race Complex in Wampum, that's up my way in Beaver County. Events in Tahn the rest of the week and the big show and races in Schenley Park next weekend July 16 & 17. This is one of the largest vintage car races in the country every year.

Bring a lightweight folding chair to either location. For Wampum also bring sunscreen and a hat because there is no shade. At Schenley Park you can get by without a chair if you don't mind walking all day. They fill an 18 hole golf course with classic cars. Of course, 'Burgh being the 'Burgh, if you leave your chair and cooler and walk around for a while it will still be there when you get back. Admission is free but you have to pay to park.

Good time at the races today. Pics and videos on my Facebook.
