It’s been an extremely painful and tough last few days for Steeler Nation, the NFL community, and family and friends close to Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Dwayne Haskins.
Haskins was also a father. A son. A brother. A husband.
The love continues to spread for the 24 year old Haskins as we are all still in mourning over his tragic loss that took place early Saturday morning. More tweets are piling in, including two from people who were able to be as close to Haskins over the last year as anyone else: former teammates, Ben Roethlisberger and Josh Dobbs. Read their heartfelt messages below:

Although death is a part of life, it is often times never easy on the individuals who were close to the deceased — especially when the deceased are taken from this world at such a young age. By all accounts, Haskins was beloved by all of his teammates, and on the verge of football redemption. A promising life and career cut short, but a monumental positive impact left on those close to him, nonetheless.
May you rest in peace, Dwayne. We will continue to share your praises, and our deepest condolences go out to Kalabrya Gondrezick-Haskins and your family at this time.

“I am devastated and at a loss for words with the unfortunate passing of Dwayne Haskins,” Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said. “He quickly became part of our Steelers family upon his arrival in Pittsburgh and was one of our hardest workers, both on the field and in our community. Dwayne was a great teammate, but even more so a tremendous friend to so many. I am truly heartbroken.”
