This was a painful game to watch! I said a week ago this game was a must win because a loss and a Chargers win tomorrow this team would travel to Baltimore for one last final *** kicking to end the 2024 season! Derrick Henry will put up well over 200 yards rushing against this Steelers Defense! The last 4 weeks must be what it feels like to be a JETS fan! In Tomlin's 17 seasons as Head Coach of the Steelers he's had a total of 8, yes 8 end of the season collapses where he has lost at least 3 of 4 or 4 of the last 5 games to end the season! That means 47% of the time he has failed his team down the stretch as a Head Coach. Yeah he's never had a losing season but this guy is a loser! We have the DEI NFL Coach of the Year! I can't stand the man! HE SUCKS!
Maybe it's the new mentality that Mediocrity is now considered winning football since the inception of Participation Trophies! I grew up a Die Hard Steelers fan where the goal each and every year is to win the Super Bowl. Tomlin has gotta go and don't give me that bullshit "Who you going to get to replace him?" You can find any mediocre Head Coach in the NFL who can yield the same results Tomlin has given us throughout his coaching career! He is not a good Head Coach!
This game started in typical Tomlin fashion going down 10-0 to the 27th Ranked NFL Defense at home in your house to start he first quarter while the Juggernaut OC Arthur Smith managed 1 first down on a running play by Najee Harris. This is the same Bungles team that the Steelers put up 44 points on in Cincy 5 weeks ago! Seeing Tomlin look completely clueless on the sidelines makes me think of this guy!
Offensively the Steelers couldn't get anything going the entire game.....They attempted 12 passes through 3 Quarters of football Russell Wilson had 65 yards throwing. Look Russell Wilson is NOT THE GUY going forward! He doesn't have it anymore! If they are planning on resigning him next season. They can get rid of Arthur Smith too! We need a young offensive wizard who can design a modern pass oriented offense built around the young talent on this roster! Steelers offense only managed to possess the football for 22 minutes. WTF George Pickens all of a sudden can't catch a football! Targeted 6 times and had 1 reception for 0 yards! FANTASTIC!
As for the Defense...they performed ok tonight but that doesn't do anything to save Teryl Austin's job as DC. He's got the most expensive Defense in the NFL and they should be alot more consistent on Defense than they have been all season....especially the last 5 or 6 games! I actually felt bad for Cory Trice who was given no help tonight covering Ja'Marr Chase....I will give credit to Cory Trice tonight though.....he had 11 tackles out there in game.....the kid is a very good open field tackler who is essentially a rookie who was going up against one of the NFL's best WR's and despite giving up a TD he played pretty darn good! **** Teryl Austin for putting that game plan together and not give the kid any help!
