After the early jitters the offense looked unstoppable....Brown, Rogers, James all showed good hands and made plays...even Coates had a couple of big catches

Defense played soft and gave up some yards but for the most part it worked.....hopefully when Burns is back they can turn the blitzs loose more often

and Williams is still a work horse, he looked better in the 4th quarter than he did early....just the way you want from your running game

shazier was a beast

I saw Burns in there for one play tonight. It was on one of the 3rd and longs towards the end when we had about 6 DB's on the field.

The young guys stepped up and hopefully can build on it

The OL kept Ben off his back and gave Williams plenty of room to roam.....

They did a great job. I loved the counter play they ran 3-4 times. Williams had a ton of wide-open field on every such run.

Get the pass rush improved a bit, tighten up coverage (Davis did a good job, BTW) and I like it.

Wheaton was missed, it didn't show much but I hope he's back next week, he knows and is on the same page in the no huddle with Ben.

Want to see some more 1v1 wins by our pass rushers on D.

OL great game! Also thought Golden looked solid in his first start, made some good hits.

was it McCullers who deflected the pass on the Harrison Int to end the game?

Playing without the beast Martavus Bryant, LBell, Wheaton and the retired Miller, I'd say this offense asserted itself very nicely. AB was AB, DWill was well DWill and the kids Rogers,James and Coates played good, especially James.
Defense too soft and no pass rush. Uncle Jarvis just cannot rush the passer period. That's going to be a problem. He'd not stepping up so far. Shazier if he can stay healthy is a pro bowl player. Dline was ok but expected better against a so so Washingington OL.
We'll see! Really have concerns about this defense but offense will only get better.

on both Williams TD runs DeCastro and JJ pulled left and gave enough space for him to get home.
The first one was especially great with that full stop and COD that left both defenders grasping at air

Great game plan for the Skins. D plan won't work against better teams. We will need pressure. Our secondary is average at best right now. Maybe we can bring it, but haven't seen it yet.

Coates had a great chip block on that first TD

I was feeling pretty vindicated in my "Not ready for the season" crap the first couple series, but man, did they get a fire lit under them or WHAT?

That offense served notice. I would suggest that was among the most dominant performances of the week.

****..Did we lose tonight?

loved the TD after the Skins got within 3. That was a hellva drive when they needed to extend the lead.

Also, the short, quick passes on 3rd and 4th downs were things of beauty. WASH had no answer.

For the first game out of the gate, I'm very pleased with this road win. Took over their stadium, again!

Great first game.. of course, there are some things that need to be touched up on but overall, pretty damn good stuff.

AB, Ben, Jesse James, Eli, DW, and OL... great games
Defense as a whole needs to tighten up and pass rush needs to get better.

Can't wait for Sunday!

we kicked them in the teeth, at their house. Life is great

I had my doubts where this game was going in the first but WOW some great plays by many on the offense. Defense I still worry about the coverage and tackling but they held their own. I saw Shazier on side lines was any mention of hurt. I wish Tomlin would have take Brown and especially Williams out at end, game was over no need with exhaustion to get someone hurt. Anyone know stats of firs game wins in last ten years, I heard Grudin mention but to excited at time to catch answer. Great win Steelers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! See you next week in THE BURGH.

yea, I was wondering why Brown and Williams were in there with a 15 point lead after we got the ball back on downs. Glad it worked out, but I would have been a little more cautious with those two.

Gruden said something like it was only the second opening day win I the last six years.
