If you read Alinsky's books, he was basically offering ideas or his rules for how communities with low power could
increase their power and disrupt the status quo. The group that has followed more of his rules recently to increase
their power, would be the Tea Party.

All he offered up were ideas. You either agree with them, disagree or are indifferent. You shouldn't be afraid of ideas.

Read Alinsky's rules/tactics. While he was a liberal and wanted his tactics to push things left, if you read the actual rules anyone on the
right, middle or left could apply those tactics to push their own agenda and most groups from all persuasions do.

* RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
