Trump won the election thanks in part to medium to small size towns and rural areas.

So why not add a cabinet position, albeit minor one for position that oversees the welfare and development of these areas. This, after all, is where future Republicans can win the next major election and beyond.

Let major cities like NY, Chicago and LA...all in major trouble ( Debt, crime, crumbling infrastructure etc.. ) tax the daylights out of its citizens only to see half of the " politics as usual " quid quo pro, spend those tax dollars on stuff that does not work, while getting fat off it during the process.

You sound like a liberal. Government doesn't need to cater to any specific groups to gain votes.

It's anti-American.

How about Trump disband the worthless Dept. of Education, take the billions of dollars that entity soaks up from the taxpayers, and give that money to, oh, I don't know, THE TAXPAYERS?!?

Or too much federal money goes to the cities and not enough to the smaller towns. Let's not forget how Trump won. It wasn't the large cities.

If Trump wants to secure his place in history he will drop a ton of FedGov agencies and programs that are not authorized by the US Constitution. Prosperity will come to those small towns and everyone else when government gets out of their way not through political patronage.
