Good overview of Robinson's play last night

In Shades' presser today he basically said that Robinson likes to hit people and Bush doesn't.

The future is looking bright for the Steelers right now! Our rookies are really starting to shine. I think we're going to shock alot of people next season.

This rookie class has a chance to be super special
If Pickett has any success as a starter thats a home run right there
If Pickens turns into the receiver he could be, thats a Home run
If Leal becomes a starter on the line, that’s potentially another home run for a third rounder.. he has 2 starts as a rookie and usually dlineman don’t see the field much year 1 here…
CA3 is an unknown but could be the slot receiver and returner of the future
Heyward is a bit player yet has made several huge plays in limited time… he has a future for sure
And Robinson has already contributed more than the vast majority of 7th rounders ever do

Very good rookie class! I’m pleased by what we’ve seen this year.
As for Bushy, it was a hugely expensive miss giving up our second round pick that draft and a third the following year but it happens. Teams miss all the time in high picks it’s just what we gave up to get him.
Bush plays scared and without heart. Like he’s afraid to get hurt and when that happens your play suffers and that’s what we’ve seen.
I don’t think he’s back but think he’ll get another shot somewhere just not here.

Like I said, i don’t think one guy I wanted instead of bush at the original spot was there or actually made an impact… the second and third rounders hurt more than the first that year

Great video. Thanks for sharing.

What a unique concept - a MLB actually going forward to fill holes. Almost every tackle Bush makes he's dragging the ball carrier down from behind.

I will be the first to say I didn’t like the pick. Figured he was an UDFA target we could have easily got. Well, I know see why the Steelers didn’t want to risk it. He has lots of work on pass coverage but as for run defense goes he reminds me of Kendrell Bell. Stack, shed, thump. I honestly think if we utilize Edmunds better in the box we could pair those two in situational football to optimize our run defense.

I mean you can just see it on the field, but the stats reflect it too… he had like 4 fumble recoveries going all out for the ball that year and like 9 TFL’s…

I haven’t looked lately but I think he has 3 TFL in this years campaign.

Salute the nation

We need to remember Robinson started off as a RB in college. He is still very new to the ILB position. He is only going to get better.

A seventh round pick playing any snaps on offense or defense is almost an instant win as a pick… their success rate is comically low because teams almost never give them a chance, and most only ever see the field on special teams. We probably have one of the better records of finding players in the seventh… hopefully he adds to it
