Good read on PFF and other football analytic sites

13 teams are using them so they are gaining steam and respect. But Zimmer is saying alot of things I heard on here. How can they accurately grade if they dont know the assignments? Interesting reading for those interested.

With the influx of money, it should be that the stats get more scrutiny followed by any corrections that needed to be made. Maybe things should be weighted differently or counted differently or they are just fine.

PFF has some good stats, particularly ones that analyze the completion of every QB by route. I find that useful. What I don't find useful is their grades they issue for each player. Shazier, I believe, had a negative rating in his first game. That is just one example why I find that information useless.

What about, when he was playing, rayray's tackle total? Just curious

They don't know what they're talking about. They used to give Casey Hampton low grades because he didn't get enough sacks and tackles, never mind that Casey's job was to plug the middle and draw multiple blockers.
