Hass signed with the G-men.

Meh. We still have Green. 😀

We're getting a stud LT and a STUD center in the draft 1.17 & 2.49 (or 3rd).

Tomlin never used him properly.

They've looked at a ton of guards (surprising) and centers in this draft. I agree they want to come away with a tackle and a center. Ideally the center sits one year behind Cole and steps in as starter in 2024.

But why?
They must see potential there somewhere.
Yes, they see the potential of egg on face cutting their highest drafted OL in the past decade

Talking like that sounds like we need to get you in the FO

Ideally the center is a day 1 starter and Cole is the IOL swing man

Let’s be honest, Cole is not that big of a hurdle to jump and a day 2 Center shouldn’t have a problem beating him out for a day 1 start

Green did it, so it can be done…………….

If we do get a center (draft), I hope he is of high enough investment to do EXACTLY what you describe here.!

So, he should actually be a center?

If they get a guy like JMS, sure. If it's a guard transitioning to center, give them time to adjust to the position. Cole was the second-best lineman on the team last year.

Oluwatimi in the 4th, dominant in the power run game, athletic and smart, and could likely play G if needed as well.
past 2 years he was dominant on a very run-heavy Michigan team and this past year won the Rimington award, could in a year push Cole out of the lineup, Green never liked the pick but looks strictly like a utility backup
