I’m not surprised. All anyone in DC or in that orbit cares about is saving their own political skin. He wants to keep working. Forget seeking the truth, whatever the truth is. This is why I have no confidence in our government. They all sell their souls for political expedience. There is no integrity in our government. Period.

I agree with everything you said. Also, Durham is a pragmatist. He probably took this on believing in a 2nd Trump Admin. Now, he won't be able to complete a proper investigation, so he is shutting it down. The Washington Bureaucracy always outlasts the elected officials.
