Waiting to hear about Muth's status. He is a big-time target, Kenny trusts him. The Steelers do have a Plan B it seems as Conner Heyward is good. Really good. Catches almost everything he touches. Would have been nice if he caught TD attempt from Kenny but pass was pretty high.

Also really liked his jet sweep where he turned upfield rather than trying to go wide. He knew he needed 1 yard and rather than being a hero, he got 4 yards and the first down. He is a good football player.

I don't know if they want to keep D. Watt but they are two different players and you could keep Heyward as a 5th receiver instead of a couple dead weights there.

He is good on those short yardage sneaks and special teams. I am ok if he comes back.

Conner has that dog in him like Pickens. When the ball is in the air he attacks it.

Yeah, I’m hoping not anything torn for Muth. Hopefully sprain or a contusion.

The older Heyward might feel the push to go elsewhere chasing a title next year and I would not blame him one bit… hopefully not though

Heyward is too short to be a prototypical TE isn't he. Not saying he couldn't be valuable if worked into the game plan by a competent OC. No doubt he has great football instincts.

Nope. Won’t happen.

All of the insiders are telling me ... nothing. I know no insiders. But, seriously, of the many players that may chase a ring I think Heyward may be the now rare guy that will value staying where he started and trying to finish the journey there.

Also, I would guess he is pretty thrilled to get to play with his little brother. That, for many, might be more and more important as one approaches a career's end.

I think Heyward, Watt (at a lesser salary) and Gentry (FA I believe) should all be back. Gentry is our best blocking TE and Heyward is our No. 2 receiving TE behind Muuth. If Muuth's injury needs surgery (hoping not), we will need Gentry and Heyward.

I'd be stunned if he felt that way, absolutely stunned.

The younger Heyward is better than I thought he'd be. Normally I'm against finding ways to get the ball to the No. 3 tight end but he proved himself this season. He's a baller.

I had to watch via crackstream. Cut out a couple times….what is the nature of Muth’s injury, or is there no info yet?

He was in a lot of pain, holding his right knee and helped to the locker room. Have not heard anything definitive yet but I fear a freaking ACL. If it's a sprain or meniscus, all good - he is back to normal well before August.

Maybe Tomlin will get it, the kid wants to play and can make the plays, if he gets on the field.

We have 2 Heywards
