How do you handle the “Fan” ?

You forgot the new breed of "Steeler Karen" fan. This new species get easily agitated when they can't quickly get their caffeine fix from watered down McDonald's Coke.

They are easy to spot wearing their jean shorts they bought at Kmart in 1997 just in time to attend training camp and watch Kordell take starting QB reps.

Another Doctor visit and I get into where they draw blood / lab.

The technician lady is young but very very nice.

We get to talking and she asked me what my weekend plans were (NOT hitting on me)_.

I told her I’ve been building a trailer to pull behind my side x side, proportionately sized.

Told her I was going to hopefully paint it.

Her “what color” ?

I said Steelers Blue (as I have a quart to use up) & it’s a close match to the UTV), she didn’t miss a beat and said that would be awesome.

I said you do know there is the blue in the Steelers logo………

She set me straight by saying she knows that and she isn’t a green-horn, has been a Steelers fan her entire life…..

I said HellA yeah (maybe a little to loud as a couple nurses came in to see what the noise was about)

The Tech. And I set them straight, I left with all four of them smiling and a hug from the Tech.

That my friends is how you handle a fan………… !!!!!!!!!!!

Aside: What percentage of NFL fans are casuals, in your opinion? i.e. they don't follow the offseason and pretty much just show up on game days to root like hell. Guessing it's not an insignificant number.

Thank you for letting us know she was NOT hitting on you. Most of us thought she was.
Pretty much everyone knows when a young chick asked you what your weekend plans are she really is asking if you want to ****.

Those who let game day only talking heads determine their opinions on how the teams / nfl is doing.

Watch games but does nothing to further their knowledge / opinions.

Browns Fans (the older generations primarily): You Steelers fans forget that the Browns have 4 AAFC Championships and 4 NFL Championships:
Steeler fan: You Browns fans forget that we are now in the year 2026.

The Browns Mt. Rushmore busts of Paul Brown, and woman abuser Jim Brown have eroded away and are hardly recognizable with their broken off noses.
Lack of maintenance and upkeep.
 
Like DIC, I can fairly quickly assess how much an unknown person knows about the Steelers and let the conversation go from there.
With someone who doesn't even know we had a coaching change there isn't a lot of point in going into a deep discussion.
I can see how you would be distracted by massive breastes.

Personally, I always thought that was a great stat……. Ben Rothlisberger having more wins in their stadium than any other QB including their own QBs.

I can’t remember, but I think that was for 5-7 years, until Baker “dozen” Mayfield came along..

I use that fact for the not so nice browns fans.

I also compliment Browns Fans on their loyalty to hanging on to a team that hasn’t beared any fruit in quite some time………

Ironically, the Steelers have beared less in the last 10 years……………… so there is that.
