I've tried, but nobody stands out to me. My preference is Pickett but even then he doesn't see the field this year.

Plenty of talented prospects. Just not alot if you are looking for a QB.
OT, WR, CB are very deep, S fairly deep. The Steelers can get a legit WR in the 3rd, a competitor for a starting S spot in the 4th, a legit RT in the 2nd.

The unknown element makes this draft very exciting. What makes me nervous is I've seen some awful scenarios for the Steelers.
I watched a mock draft on YouTube last night and the first round could not have fallen worse for the Steelers. Others, there are no exciting players left in the second and instead having to do a slight reach. I just hope all falls well for us this week.

Jordan Davis at 1.20 would be amazing considering the rats being in front of us. Maybe the rats take Willis so as to integrate him in when Action get banged.

Nice. Only two careers take advantage of Bob's lack of a gag reflex. He's already well-experienced in the first and the sword swallower thing would be number 2.

I'm fixed on one guy. I won't even mention,but I'm praying to the football gods that the Steelers draft him and he becomes a Steeler legend. Definitely would look great in black&gold.

On the contrary, I think that this draft is potentially the most exciting in recent memory as the Steelers plans for the future are finally unveiled. There's been more speculation than usual given Ben's retirement; it's been all over the map, really, so I am anxious to see which direction they ultimately take.
Hopefully one that doesn't involve reaching on need.

My man, what do we really know as fans though? I was pissed when we drafted Big Ben, we had Tommy Gun!! My facebook memory feed showed me excited for drafting Jarvis Jones and I labeled him a "Beast". I was right about Troy and Artie, So I'm guessing that I'm 50/50 on first round draft picks. lol
If they reach for a QB in Rd. 1, the entire draft is ****** as far as filling our many needs. Any QB they draft will have to sit for a year or two before they are ready to play. We need starters or impact players with our 1st 2 and preferably 3 picks. And, if they trade up to get a QB, we are ****** for years unless this guy turns out to be a true franchise player in a year or two. They need to focus on DL, WR, and S with their first 3 picks and then they can look at OL, ILB, 3rd/4th string QB, and other depth. DL and WR are their top needs followed closely by S.
Of course we get our fair share wrong. I just feel if they pick a QB in 1 they are reaching with Ben gone. As always I would love to be wrong.

Davis had 19 tackles behind the LOS in 47 games. Seems like a bigger reach than QB to me.

Davis' job would be more to take up blockers than to get TFLs, I hear yaz but disagree.
Our team defense is in bigger need of DAVIS than we are in need of _________________(insert draft QB here)

This draft just feels different. Lots of potential reasons why, but mostly because it seems that Tomlin has a lot more opportunity to screw it up badly.
Sorry if that is so cynical, but he could really do great and set us up. I get the feeling - largely due to the talking heads out there - that he wants to grab a guy who is probably not the guy.

stats don't tell the whole story of a players value...especially interior DL

Honestly if I am Baltimore I would actually consider this if he fell further. With their style they really need two QBs who can do what LJ does to remain successful with the inevitable injuries and wear and tear.

Seeing this is Colbert's last year, I'd say it gives Tomlin 100% control.
