Lyft driver refuses to transport 489 lb. woman because she is simply too big for his car.



So she is suing Lyft.

Okaaay, sure. You bet. "Plus size" passengers are raising their concerns. Lady, you ain't "plus size" - you are multiplication size. Best comment on Twitter - "She should have ordered a ForkLyft."
 
I suppose Manute Bol (sp?) can sue if his driver shows up in a Smart Car?

It's time to get real.

She would have to sit in the middle if that was possible.


She should be more concerned with being 489 pounds. She's not going to live much longer.

You have to eat a truckload of food to get mass like that.
 
Most Lyft and Uber drivers use compacts and hybrids. That's how you keep your costs low and make money.
Mrs. Burgundy drives Lyft on the weekends in her minivan which is classified as a Lyft XL. It costs extra but people with a large group or a boatload of groceries or who just don't want to scrunch into the back seat of a compact can order an XL, which is what this lady should have done.
In the funeral business, families of morbidly obese people have to spend extra for an extra-large casket and in extreme cases, an extra-large burial vault. Cost of doing business. You KNOW she has to buy two seats on an airplane.
The driver saying she was going to blow out his tires, that wasn't a good look on him though.
 
Imagine how much food she could buy if she wins her lawsuit.
 
Lyft and Uber should make her put her weight on her profile. Or just ban her permanently.

This looks like a setup. I'm not sure if the Lyft driver was in on it or not, but she has to know she needs an XL and she called the regular on purpose to try to sue them.

Lyft should have that same car show up, ask her to try to squeeze into it, then drive her where she wanted and note the damage to the car. That car looked low already. The wheels would probably be scraping the whole way and any kind of bump could do real damage.

Her lawyer said it's no different than no picking up a black or gay person but that's not true. Her weight can do actual damage to the vehicle. It would be like refusing to pick up somebody covered in poop or carrying an open gas can.
