I would seriously look at value on three players:
Claypool
Harris
Heyward
Claypool because they need meat up front. I feel like he might be replaceable next year simply with the the Austin kid.
Harris I feel there would be market based on his college film snd the lack of blocking here and his injury. Someone would take a flyer.
Last one is toughest. Heyward. Someone could be king made for a SB with him. He has to have value. I love the guy. And I know there will be heat here. But truth is they will not be good before he is done.
I'm thinking you are looking at three twos and a little bit. That would be a high first and high second three lower twos. You could remake oline and add a dline and a linebacker.

Claypool and harris are on cap friendly deals right now so that wouldnt make much sense. Who are we going to replace claypool with. He seems to be one of the few that seem to give a damn. Claypool may bring a second, but we would still prob have to draft a WR and its a crap shoot. I think squeaking a second out of Harris is a fantasy at this point. Even a second for Heyward might be a stretch. He would have to goto a stacked SB ready team to expect that hall. You are also trading away one of the leaders on this team and it is already in shambles. I would just stand ground and build around what we have

How hard would it be to replace Claypools numbers he is projected to have 648 yards and 2 tds. seriously.
Yes that would be really responsible as a coach. Trade Claypool for a 5’9” 162 pound receiver that has never ever ever played a down in the NFL. I’m glad you’re not in charge. Things are going bad enough as it is.

And hey. He might be a great receiver,I don’t know. And you sure as hell don’t either.
Be nice to see him play a game. Geee. Maybe even catch a pass or two.
Seriously.

If you were a gm what would you be willing to trade for Harris right now? I doubt anyone would offer anything higher than a 4th.

True but this is a product of the system not claypool. Trading him away for an unknown at this point doesn't make sense to me

If I can't get at least a second I stand pat. Cap friendly right now and maybe a new OC and a better OL makes him better. In any case, no way Tomlin would ever let go of such a high draft pick. If Harvin is safe, any draft pick higher certainly is.

They definitely should have been trying to get something for Rudolph but apparently not. It doesn't look like they plan to move anyone.

A-N-D

That includes Coach Tomlin. He isn't going anywhere. At soonest, he may be let go upon contract expire but, it's 50 / 50 in that respects too. Could be an extension at the end of this year but ore likely end of 23' season.

Salute the nation

You're right. So onward with this same group and Tomlin in charge! Just fire Canada and everything is fixed! Look at how much they improved by firing Haley! I mean, by firing Fichtner! Those guys were holding us back, not Tomlin! Once we get rid of Ben the Statue, you'll see Tomlin's brilliance emanating from the schemes and teams!

Oh, and you owe me $50. Still.

I would look at dealing the following players
Cam Sutton, assuming there is a legit offer coming back... not for just anything... but something like a 4th would be intriguing

Gunner O... for anything really. Sims makes him redundant and he is under contract next season, and more expensive than claypool....

Devon Bush, if there are any takers... saves like a million bucks, though he likely is part of the comp pick equation if he stays.... id just rather the conditional seventh in the hand then the potential comp pick seventh in the Bush.

Larry Oganjobi... he is healthy, so he has value... if anyone is willing to give us a fifth or so we should be listening

Mason Rudolph.... of course right after the deadline there are going to be a bunch of high profile qb injuries... but Denver or someone may be interested

in each of these cases the guy is a ufa after the season anyhow and there are other players in line to get experience for next year....well except for Mason who is just buried on the depth chart

Actually Heyward has some value and could possibly bring a good return. But it would have to be a multiple pick deal. Ok with Rudolph being traded.

They probably won't trade anyone. But eh it's convo.

That we had inquiry about Cam and this pos front office shot it down saying “no chance” shows we need better minds in many of the critical off the field positions, not just the coaching staff…if you can’t even listen to the offer ya suck and shouldn’t have that job

Outright loyal to a point of being embarrassingly stupid this organization is

True and hey I love me some Heyward. In a perfect world those types stay in Black n Gold forever. But the team clearly needs an overhaul. Regardless I am hoping they attack Dline and Oline in this draft knowing there will be better value sitting there with such high selections.

They probably heard the offer and said **** that

Trading players seems great in theory. However with the exception of Heyward, they're all massively underachieving and wouldn't fetch much.

I hope Cam gets dealt, just so he can finally get a ring.

I think a two for each of them is fair. Now it sounds like that is what the are shopping Claypool and are not getting it. Heyward could king make contender he is worth a two all day. There is a lot of upside on Harris. As far as losing weapons this team needs to have less weapons and more grunts. It's not working and hasn't worked.

Look these guys are pretty smart. Everyone knows he is hurt and the Steelers can't block. I'm not saying there isn't someone trying to fleece but no one is trading Harris for a fourth. No one.

It would be crazy to see Heyward in another jersey. he needs to retire aSteeler if that is his choice
