Since I have the NFL Game Pass I often go back through previously played games and watch them or parts of them. I went back yesterday to last week's debacle by the Cheats vs the Ratbirds. I now realize the Genius that is Bill Belichick! I'll say it.....Belichick lost this game on purpose and he had every intent to loose this game too! Taking the focus off his team and the potential of an unbeaten season.....hiding under the radar the back half of the season. He approached this game as if it was a pre-season contest! If you go back and watch the game....on 2nd down & short Belichick had his dime & nickel packages out there on the field defensively. The Ravens ran it down their throats....as would be the case with anyone running that type of Defensive scheme vs a run first offense as the Rats rushed for over 200 yds in game. Only once in the first quarter did the Patriots actually blitz in a passing situation....most of the game he rushed just 4. As the entire football world is gaga over Lavar Jackson....I'm sitting here after re-watching the game and without any doubt in my mind Belichick and Brady lost this game on purpose. Brady was staring down his WR's......something Brady NEVER! NEVER EVER DOES!.....They had no intention to show the Rats any schemes or any real play calling this game because they know they will meet them in the playoffs and he got the Rats to expose everything pulling out all stops. Not once did Belichick have any Defensive player spying Jackson....This is the genius that is Bill Belichick. He kept it as vanilla as possible and now everyone is riding the Ratbird bandwagon. Well if and when they do play them in the playoffs I'll expect a completely different game plan by Belichick.....one the Rats aren't prepared for and I see the Cheats stomping a mudhole in the Ratbirds in the playoffs. He really is a GENIUS!

It's all about perspective..........................

Salute the nation

Jesus, I sound like Coolie's broken record; but **** Bill Belichick.

And **** the Browns again for good measure.

i wouldn't go so far as to say they lost on purpose but watching that game, I do think the Pats held back schematically. They did a bunch of stuff that seemed illogical. It did seem a bit to me like the were doing experiments on the ravens.

There is an alternate theory though. The Pats are a bunch of cheaters who rely on stolen signals but because the Ravens are running the option, knowing the plays doesn't necessarily help because Jackson is reading on the fly.

Who cares? The Pats will be in the playoffs and all the games will be on their home field, they are the team to beat for the Super Bowl , sucks but they own us and the chances of the Rats beating them for a 2nd time are not good as history shows.

And the winner goes to...........

Yeah, I can't see Belicheat losing a game on purpose. Tinfoil hat stuff.

I think it's entirely probable that the Pats* rope-a-doped it for that game. The worst that they're going to finish is 13-3 and that will be more than enough to get the bye. So why not use this game to find out as much about the Ravens offense as possible while keeping their powder dry?

Not sure if he intentionally lost but if they play again in the playoffs with the same personnel, I would bet on Belicheat almost every time.

Literally zero chance that Belichik would not want a perfect season. But also zero chance that having played them once that the Ratbirds could do it again in Foxborough. He didn't go out to lose the game, but what he learned will be prepared for. The same has happened to us in the past. But I will say this, there is one way to beat the Pats and two teams either beat them or push them to the brink regularly. The Rats and the Seahawks. And the Steelers absolutely have the same personnel to do it on defense. And I'm not talking about this year. They need to look at those game plans and replicate in the future. Bully the **** out of them. Only way to win.

Doubt they are trying to lose a game on purpose. The goal is to win every game. They had problems with Jackson's mobility. Lots of teams will the first couple years they see him until he gets hit enough times that he loses a step. See Cam Newton for reference.

Jackson can be a magician with the ball in his hands. His play fakes are excellent..

No way in hell he lost on purpose, sick of hearing about that cheating piece of **** organization. If he was going to lose on purpose, why even play Brady and risk injury, he could've said he was sick and couldn't play or something stupid like that.

While I do think that losing a game relieves some pressure on a team and I didn't watch that game, I doubt Brady and Belicheat ever try to lose. I think Brady sufficiently self centered that he is at this point focused on his "legacy" and wanted to go out at the absolute top of the game - with a perfect season and after winning 7 SBs. Whatever - I'm glad they lost so their potential perfect season is toast and I hope someone else takes them out so they don't get another championship.

I don't know Ron I am pretty sure they have thrown games in the past to change playoff matchups. Think about some of the end of year **** we have seen from them.

Yes... i think in the past guys with links to bb like the seahawks have done better cause they understand his cheating systems... i think Harbaugh kind of does unexpected things too...

I mean the system can be thwarted after all... they spy on practices and other games, get a list of offensive and defensive playcalls matched to plays... BB aligns optimal counter plays for all those calls based on package... during the game the pats steal signals and Ernie uses his memory to instantly broadcast the best counter for the incoming play... its bang bang... when you have a qb calling his own plays or ad lib running a lot it thwarts their system.

Brady just needs the presnap read to be right or time for the overhead guy to signal someone open... if his quick read isn’t open and he is under pressure and they are playing man so its harder to see whose coming open he struggles...

only qb that this year can win there I see is Mahomes hope they get on track beyond tired of seeing these ******** every FEb

Belicheat and Br*dy have lost to the same team twice in one season since about never.

Consider this, and then go look and see what the *ats record is vs teams they lost to during the regular season, and met in the playoffs a second tome. If I’m not mistaken, they’re undefeated, and have had it halpen quite a bit. ****, what did they have to lose? They’re still a game up in the rats for HFA, and close out with a very favorable schedule. They literally only lost the game on the scoreboard; it didn’t hurt them anywhere else.

Not buying the “lost on purpose” theorem. I’ll sign up for perhaps the Cheats didn’t prepare adequately for the Lamar Jackson mania and Belichick likely knew at halftime he was going to play the Rats again but in Foxboro so why throw the kitchen sink at them? Belichick and Brady will humiliate them on their home turf in front of their own fans.

Exactly, because 'throwing a game' isn't a form of cheating in that scenario...
