I wonder if Jameis' medical condition factored in regards to bringing Trubisky in.

When I read this the other day I wondered if he was initially considered and his injury quickly shot the idea down. Healthy I thought he could have been the best bring in option. I am curious if his name was on the table or they weren't interested either way.

I'd bet they checked him out and found what they didn't want to. There is so much that we as fans to get privy to but I'm sure the teams (STEELERS) do their due diligece.

Some things may not make headlines but i'm sure they get looked at none the less.

I wanted Famous Jamis too but am very happy with Mitch and see a lot of positive regardless of the rookie draft pick..

Time will tell and looking forward to camp battles, including Rudolf's push in the mix for starting job.

There are a lot of factors when considering a stop gap FA qb. If they knew they were drafting a qb, mentorship plays a role. Plus who more fits your scheme cause you probably aren't building scheme around a stop gap. I like their choice regardless of Crab Legs health.

I absolutely agree with you!
Of the options on the table Jameis was definitely who I was hoping they'd bring in. I mean damn... 5000 yards and 30 Tds?
Well....yeah 30 picks too.
I really was thinking that he would thrive here.
Hope he is back to eating those wins in no time.
He's a champion, and that isn't easy, whether it was college or not
