Ian Book!

This kids play reminds me of Baker Mayfield's...

With finally a Legit QB, solid running game, and a stout and senior laden defense....

Us Irish fans could be in for a special season!
I was hoping this kid would be the starter at the start. I wish Wimbush would switch to running back or reciever. He is to good of an athlete to keep on the sidelines. Great arm but no accuracy and bad decision making skills. Okawara and Tillery are beasts on the DL.

That corner route where he dropped the ball to the WR perfectly over the underneath LB was a pro QB throw.

The best part is they didn't lose the scrambling ability of Wimbush because Book has wheels too. Credit Kelly for the change because most coaches stick with a guy as long as they're winning but it seems like Book took them to another level.

The offense has such a better rhythm to it with Book running it.
He spreads the ball around, great vision/pre-snap survey.
He's NOT the athlete Wimbush is, but as stated above, Wimbush is erratic and has horrible decision making skills.
But Book is athletic enough to extend plays and scramble when necessary......as a last ditch effort and NOT the first read.
This switch is long overdue.
Book should have gotten ALL the 1st teams reps in the off-season and started the season as QB1, and Wimbush should have been groomed at another position/remained as backup QB.
