the 4 games I get on directv are pretty lame, pats vs bills, chiefs vs lions, chargers vs dolphins, raiders vs colts.

I will say this Ironcity, it is a real credit to your love of this team that you can get up for this game much less a day early. I cannot remember a time I've been more disheartened by the Steelers. It was one thing when they lost the opener getting pounded into the ground. It was another when they lost Ben for the season. But when they gave up what will almost certainly be the highest pick they have had since '04 it was just too much for me. I just have no excitement left for the fucktards who are running this show. Particularly Tomlin. I spent about 2000 dollars last week to watch them lose a game where they had 5 turnovers. That seems virtually impossible.
I still get excited for every game. Even when things are looking dismal.

I look at it this way. Fitz is better than anyone Tombert would have drafted.
Defensively, I agree with you, but if Rudolph doesn't appear to be the long term QB and there is a consensus QB there it will be a very tough night in April. Now I don't watch enough college football to know the QB landscape, but still. After Ben was injured, my thought was that they will get an extended look at Mason and if it ain't there you have the draft pick in the pocket. Two days later that was gone.

He played 1.5 games with a team(err coaching staff) that BB was having issues. (Again I still believe he was hurt awhile ago). We got a solid staple on defense that can maybe locked down a back field that has been dreadful for awhile. Who’s to say that top 10-15 pick QB is anything as you suggest? Once the season is over that’s when we can make a true assessment of MR and where we are in draft standings. Until then, SB baby!!!!
Let me add this. I also believe that a lot of the talent we have drafted didn’t pan out because of failures in the coaching staff, not simply bc they were trash.
