Then Mike Tomlin is clueless and lazy.
So I was listening to Ray Fittipaldo yesterday on the 93.7 The Fan and he told Ron Cook and Joe Starkey something I found just crazy
Ray said that he did not think Tomlin was the one who went out and hired OL coach Pat Meyer, Receiver’s coach Frisman Jackson, or the RB coach whose name escapes me for the moment.
Ray said Tomlin was not familiar with none of these three guys and left it up to Canada to hire them.
Ray is a respected writer for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and has been covering the Steelers a long time so lots of credibility there.
If that’s truly the case then this organization is more ****** up than I had ever imagined.
To think that the HC allows an OC with very very little NFL experience go out and bring in three coaches that’s he’s familiar with is nuts.
Ray also said that the last OL coach and WR coach didn’t want to work with Canada that’s why they quit.

If this is true (not doubting or confirming), then the PIT keeps getting deeper.

Idk Drink, only posted what I heard Ray speak of yesterday.
I mean he put it out there which really surprised me but have to think it’s his reputation on the line.
If this is true this is really ****** up on Tomlin’s part.

no way

Way Blitz! That’s what Ray said. If that’s true this is more dysfunctional than I thought.

It would also show Artie2 is definately a "hands off" owner. I'm not saying Art 2 has to over-ride everything but allowing O'Canada to have that kind of hiring power would be totally stupid and it's showing the stupid look on the field of play......... BIG TIME.

Who is next in line to replace current president ??? Hope he is on the soon to be very FAST track way.!!!

So 93.7 The Fan came out again yesterday with these three guys OL Coach Meyer, WR Coach Jackson, RB Coach Faulkner we’re three guys Canada worked with before and was comfortable with.
Tomlin still had to interview them and make the hire but Tomlin knew none of them. He supposedly told Canada to find coaches he was comfortable working with rather than Tomlin going out and hiring the best coaches.
Could be part of the reason that Najee and the receivers have taken a step back. That’s just my opinion and I could be all wet on that one. Then again the OL is better than expected so is Meyer a descent Coach?
Idk Drink but I do know this. If I couldn’t work with co workers my boss would have replaced me.
