I can finally do something about that Holmes jersey sitting in the back of my closet.

Dude looked really good.

Just change it to a Stewart Jersey, problem solved.

Holmes? Pffffft, I am waiting to profit from THIS jersey:

****, dream, Not taking away any of his abilities, but let the kid play. Before he is anointed saint hood, I think a few more games need to be played. I want him to succeed, as GREATLY as his potential could be, but also willing to actually give him the time / play to do that. Setting him up so high, only makes it much tougher on him to succeed.

Yeah, Iron City is right. We have to see more, much more before we know for sure but he's making a believer out of me. He's had a really nice start but he's still very raw but the good news is they can develop him the way they want. He hasn't had time to pick up any bad habits. The kid has size, speed, can get open and can catch. That first TD against the Texans when he caught the ball over shoulder was perfect. He was in perfect position with his back to the defender and had the presence of mind to know exactly where he was in the end zone.by keeping both feet in. Man that showed me a lot. Also, if you remember from that same game the deep route he ran the first time, he was open but Ben over threw the ball. Then Ben comes back later on same route big play. The kid knows how to get open deep, that's for sure.

Have a good feeling about him. For being "raw" he seemed to have a pretty good sense of where he was or needed to be and showcased his athleticism. After the drop Ben came right back to him iirc which shows his faith in the guy. Might completely change the red zone woes. Then again I'm pimpin' 'cause I just grabbed him in FF.

The bad habit he has he learned in college. It has been alluded to on here and mentioned a couple of times. He is not the most studious of players. His mother had to build a fire under his *** in college to get him motivated to put in the work to get back on the field, so the story goes. It has been hinted at on here and other places that he has not spent the time needed to know the playbook as well as he should. That is something that can be coached out of him and hopefully he sees the success he has enjoyed so far as just the beginning and uses it as motivation to continue to develop. He is certainly something that is needed. If he catches on to this the guys can go from being young money to smart money.

I think this narrative is way overdone. The results over the past two weeks speak for themselves --- I'm not seeing someone who looks unmotivated or clueless as to the playbook. Rookie WRs are often slow to absorb the nuances of NFL offenses and he was relatively inexperienced in terms of games started at Clemson. He also injured his shoulder in the final preseason game which set him back a bit (every practice is important to a rookie).

The thing is with Bryant, he says throw it up, Im gonna go get it....he does not believe there is any football that he can't catch.

And remember, in the Houston game, when Bell caught the 52-yard pass, Bryant was blocking downfield - he was blocking his man 50 yards downfield. That is a huge deal in my eyes.

He caught 1 Td his first game and 2 in his second... I will be dissapointed if he doesnt get 3 in his third...lol

Well right now Martavis has all the confidence in the world.....gleaming with it and had he caught that slant, theres no telling what his level of confidence would be at this morning with having THREE scores in one game. Thats Frisman Jackson-like............Frisman is the one-game wonder (fantasy legend) who played in Cleveland for a season but had a huge game and never was heard from again. Hopefully Martavis can sustain and contribute on a consistent basis. Hes a matchup problem waitin to happen for the defense.

If he is great as he looks , I can now stop bitching we just sat there and not moved up to get Moncrief or Jordan Matthews, instead we could of taken a CB like Walt Aikens, Jaylen Watkins, Pierre Desir, instead we drafted a raw CB that could not even dress for pre season games.

I know this belongs in the archer thread but the breakout of Bryant with how badly Wheaton was struggling made this Sunday great that who cares how well Moncrief looked out there.

The kid is saying the right things in interviews. What strikes me in these two interviews is that he continuously mentions "Work" and "Practice", almost as if someone has been stressing the value of both to the young man.
